Kaliningrad VVMU

Kaliningrad Higher Naval School was formed April 7, 1969 as part of the navigational and artillery faculties. The history of the Baltic Naval Institute begins in August 1947, when the Baku Naval Preparatory School was transferred to the city of Kaliningrad.

By July 1948, it was renamed the Kaliningrad Naval School. August 4, 1948 by Council resolution People's Commissars on the basis of the Kaliningrad Naval Preparatory School, the 2nd Baltic Higher Naval School was formed and already from October 1 October 1948, the beginning of the first school year on the 1st year under the training programs for watch officers of surface ships with a training period of 4 years. On April 7, 1969, the Kaliningrad Higher Naval School was formed as part of the navigational and artillery faculties. The school began its development. The faculties of radio communications, missile weapons were created, the department of electronic warfare was formed.

On November 6, 1997, the transformation of the Kaliningrad Higher Naval School into the Baltic Naval Institute began, and on June 20, 1998, by order of the Civil Code of the Navy No. 224, the date of the annual holiday of the Kaliningrad VVMU was set - September 1.

On October 31, 1998, in accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1009 of August 29, 1998, a solemn ritual of the transformation of the Kaliningrad VVMU into the Baltic Naval Institute was held.

On August 1, 1999, a school of technicians was opened at the Baltic VMI, and on September 1, training for cadets of the Naval College began.

On August 31, 2000, a cadet boarding school "St. Andrew the First-Called Cadet Naval Corps" was formed at the BVMI - a state educational institution.

On October 4, 2000, the grand opening of the Kaliningrad regional branch of the Academy of Military Historical Sciences at the BVMI took place.

At present, the institute includes four faculties, a school of technicians, 21 departments, a department for the training and education of foreign specialists, and courses for officers. The Institute has a unique educational and laboratory base. More than 250 faculty members serve and work within the walls of the institute, of which 109 are scientists, including 12 doctors of sciences and professors, more than 2,000 cadets and students study.     Requirements for candidates

    In accordance with the Instruction on the conditions and procedure for admission to military educational institutions of higher vocational education Ministry of Defense Russian Federation, approved by the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation of July 24, 2006 No. 280, the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 396 of December 26, 2008.     • military personnel undergoing military service under a contract (except for officers), until they reach the age of 24 (for training in higher professional education programs);
    • servicemen undergoing military service under a contract (who do not have officer ranks), until they reach the age of 30 (for training in secondary vocational education programs).
    The age of persons entering the study, specified in this paragraph, is determined as of August 1 of the year of admission.

    Candidates are accepted for the first year on a competitive basis.

    Admission conditions

    Preliminary selection of candidates from among military personnel

    Military personnel who wish to enter the institute, before April 1 of the year of admission, submit a report addressed to the commander of the military unit, which indicates: military rank, surname, name, patronymic, position held, date of birth, education, specialty and (or) specialization in which they wish to study.

    Attached to the report are:

    • a copy of the document (certificate, certificate, certificate, diploma) of secondary education;
    • three certified photographs (without headgear, size 4.5 x 6 cm);
    • autobiography;
    • characteristic;
    • service card;
    • medical examination card;
    • a professional psychological selection card, which is drawn up in accordance with the Guidelines for professional psychological selection in the Armed Forces.
    Preliminary selection of candidates from among the military personnel ends with the formation commander making a decision to send the serviceman to a higher education institution for entrance examinations (refusal to send him with an indication of the appropriate reasons).

    Documents of candidates from among the military personnel serving under the contract are sent by the commanders of military units to the headquarters of the formations until April 15 of the year of admission to the university. Servicemen who have passed the preliminary selection for admission to study at military educational institutions are sent by the unit commander by June 1 to the institute for professional selection. Servicemen who have not passed the preliminary selection for admission to study at the institute are sent by the unit commander to the place of military service, indicating the reasons for the refusal.

    Since June 1, the institute has been conducting 25-day training camps with candidates from among the military personnel to prepare for entrance examinations.

    Preliminary selection of candidates from among citizens who have completed and have not completed military service

    Persons from among citizens who have completed and have not completed military service, who have expressed a desire to enter the institute, submit applications to the military commissariat of the district at the place of residence until April 20 of the year of admission. The application shall indicate: surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, residential address of the candidate, name of the institute, specialty and specialization in which he wishes to study. Attached to the application:
    • copy of birth certificate,
    • a copy of the document proving identity and citizenship,
    • autobiography,
    • characteristics from the place of work or study,
    • a certified copy of the document on secondary education (students submit a certificate of current academic performance, persons who have completed the first and subsequent courses educational institutions higher professional education submit an academic certificate),
    • three certified photographs (without headgear, size 4.5 x 6 cm),
    • a certified copy of a document confirming the Russian citizenship of the candidate (passport; for those living outside the Russian Federation - a foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation),
    • certified copies of documents confirming the rights of candidates in accordance with the current legislation for enrollment out of competition, their exemption from testing knowledge in general subjects or preferential enrollment rights.
    The listed documents are formed in the candidate's academic file for admission.

    Passport, military ID or identity card of a citizen subject to conscription for military service, an original document (certificate or diploma with an extract) of secondary education, as well as original documents giving the right to enter universities on preferential terms established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, and for military personnel who have completed the first and subsequent courses of educational institutions of higher professional education with state accreditation, in addition, an academic certificate, are presented by a candidate to the selection committee of a military educational institution upon arrival, but no later than one day before the meeting admission committee on the issue of making a decision on enrolling a citizen to study at a university. In the absence of original documents, candidates are seconded back.

    Preliminary selection of candidates from among citizens who have not completed military service is carried out by the draft commissions of the military commissariats of the districts, and candidates from among the citizens who have completed military service - by the military commissars of the districts until May 15 of the year of admission to study and includes determining their compliance with the requirements established in section I of these Rules, and suitability for studying at the institute based on the results of a medical examination and professional psychological selection.

    Academic files, medical examination cards and cards of professional psychological selection of these candidates are sent by the military commissars of the districts to the institute until May 20 of the year of admission.

    The admission committee of the institute, based on the consideration of the received documents of candidates, makes a decision on their admission to professional selection. The decision is drawn up in a protocol and communicated to candidates through the relevant military commissariats, Suvorov (Nakhimov) military schools or military units stationed outside the Russian Federation, before June 20 of the year of admission to study, indicating the time and place of entrance examinations or reasons for refusal.

    Candidates receive a notice of their admission to competitive examinations through the military commissariats and, on the basis of this notice, receive travel documents for the right to travel free of charge to St. Petersburg. Candidates are sent on a business trip with the arrival at the institute in the period from 01 to 07 July.

    The procedure for the professional selection of candidates for enrollment in the institute as cadets

    The professional selection of candidates for admission to study at the institute is carried out from July 01 to July 30 and includes:

    1) determining the suitability of candidates for admission to a university for health reasons: Upon arrival at the institute, the candidate undergoes a final medical examination by the military medical commission of the institute in accordance with the Regulations on the military medical examination. In the personal file of a candidate entering the institute, there should be: an electrocardiogram at rest and during physical exertion, fluorography of the chest organs, images of the paranasal sinuses, blood tests, urine tests, blood tests for RV and HIV infection, information about vaccinations for the period of study at school, for military personnel - for the period of military service.

    According to the results of the medical examination, the candidate must be fit for military service in the Navy (category A). In some cases, with the permission of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, candidates who are fit for military service in the Navy with minor restrictions (category B) may be admitted to the competitive selection.

    BUT) professional psychological selection, including the determination of the category of professional suitability of candidates based on their socio-psychological study, psychological and psycho-physiological examination, in accordance with the Guidelines for professional psychological selection in the Armed Forces. Socio-psychological study provides for an assessment of the conditions for the upbringing and development of the individual, his military-professional orientation, organizational abilities, features of communication and behavior in a team, educational and professional readiness. Psychological and psychophysiological examination (testing) allows you to evaluate cognitive mental processes (sensation, perception, memory, thinking), attention, psychological features personality (abilities, character, temperament), psychological characteristics of a person (abilities, character, temperament), properties nervous system(strength, mobility, lability, balance, dynamism), psychomotor and neuropsychic stability.

    Based on the results of professional psychological selection, one of the following conclusions is made on the professional suitability of citizens and military personnel for training (education) in military registration specialties and military service in specific military positions:

    • recommended in the first place - first category
    • recommended - second category
    • conditionally recommended third category
    • Not recommended - fourth category
    The conclusions of the subcommittee on professional psychological selection are reported to the chairman of the selection committee and his deputy, as well as at a meeting of the selection committee.

    Candidates who, as a result of professional psychological selection, received the conclusion "not recommended" are not admitted to the institute.

    B) assessment of the level of general education of candidates as a result of a single state exam(USE) in subjects:

    • Russian language;
    • maths;
    • physics.
    Faculty of secondary military special training:
    • Russian language;
    • maths.
    Upon admission to the first year, the applicant submits the original or a certified photocopy of the certificate of USE results.

    Wherein certificates of the results of the Unified State Examination in the Russian language and mathematics are mandatory.

    If the original or a copy of the certificate of USE results cannot be submitted at the time of application for admission due to objective reasons, the applicant in the application indicates information about passing the USE and its results (or about the place where the USE was taken in additional terms conducting the exam), as well as the reason for the lack of a certificate of the results of the exam.

    The Admissions Committee provides applicants who personally applied for admission and do not have the results of the Unified State Examination, information on the place of registration for passing the Unified State Examination in the additional terms of the Unified State Examination in the subject of the Russian Federation at the location of the university.

    Applicants who do not have USE results must register for passing the exam in accordance with the Procedure for conducting a unified state exam, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

    The main form of control is sending to the federal database about USE participants and USE results a corresponding request for participation in the USE, as well as confirming the correctness of the information about the USE results indicated by the entrant or contained in the certificate of USE results submitted by him.

    All entrance examinations for admission to the first year are conducted in Russian.
