Competitions of design and research works of schoolchildren. International competition of research works of students. Dates of the All-Russian pedagogical competition "My research work"

Mindstorms EV3 is an entertaining and educational application that allows you to program robots made from LEGO constructor to perform certain actions.

In the literal sense, to program - to write the initial move in one or another programming language - in this case won't have to. The user can create certain behavioral algorithms using visual modules that control the functions of motors, motion scanners, lamps and other elements of the Mindstorms robot. The application is compatible with absolutely all designers of this line and is very convenient to use.

How to work with the program

Before you start programming a robot, it is necessary not only to assemble it, but also to think in advance about the procedures that it must perform. Of course, you can create a set of instructions first, although this is not recommended.

Mindstorms EV3 for Windows controls the robot using a special transmitter (included with the LEGO set) that connects to a computer via a USB port.

The application interface is a window, somewhat reminiscent of a block diagram, with a workspace on which visual modules are located to control the components of the robot. For example, if you have assembled a robot with a large motor, then in the corresponding visual module you can adjust various parameters: power, rotation speed, port number (if there are several identical elements in the design), and others. Other active modules are configured similarly.

Versions and instruction lists

Mindstorms EV3 can work in two modes: for beginners and advanced users. In addition, different sets of instructions are offered: basic and advanced. We strongly advise you to test the second set only after the full development of the first.

Key Features:

  • the ability to program any robots of the LEGO Mindstorms line;
  • connection of a transmitter that sends signals to the robot via the USB port of the computer;
  • a convenient workspace, within which a separate visual module is responsible for the actions of each active element of the robot;
  • availability of kits for adults and children;
  • fully Russified interface in the version for Windows.

    2015-2016 academic year

    People make their first discoveries in childhood. Little discoverers get to know the world, explore it, solve mysteries. It's great when all this is discussed in the family, drawn up and then presented at children's scientific and practical conferences. The topics of the first research papers are sometimes dictated by life itself. How useful it is to study the family tree, find out the secret of your name, figure out how to manage the family budget. Having taken such timid steps towards science, you will want to further study your city, village, and its history. And someone is watching chemical processes, studies linguistic secrets, discovers unknown routes. And so I want as many people as possible to know about the brilliant discovery. Then we are at your service, because the Cool-hours.ru portal announces a new all-Russian Internet competition for children's projects "My research work". We are interested in your discoveries made in 2016 - 2017 academic year or a little earlier. Submit your work and participate in the competition where everyone can become a winner.
