It was not easy to master it, but I had to take this height and soon everything was set up for me.

Traffic problem

After all the landings were filed and the processes were set up, the problem of traffic arose. I thought that it was possible to gather 100-150 live people for a webinar in a few days by investing 40 thousand in VKontakte advertising. I proceeded from the fact that registration will cost 40 rubles, for 30 thousand I will receive 500-700 registrations, some of them will reach a live webinar. I planned to give 10 thousand to the targetologist for setting up and maintaining advertising, if I myself fail to set it up. But the reality turned out to be different.

I scheduled a webinar for September 20 and wanted to collect the required number of registrations at an affordable price in 3 days. I set up advertising with my own hands, but the budget merged for a long time and in a day I received about 20 registrations, which came out more expensive than 50 rubles. In general, it turned out that I was not such a cool targetologist as I thought. I turned to Andrey for help, so that he could advise a targetologist suitable for the task. The right targetologist was quickly found. It turned out to be Andrei's wife Varvara.

Varvara responded to the call for help, asked several professional questions, which made me understand that she could be trusted with this work. Despite the urgency of the order, it was possible to agree with her to reduce the price on the condition that the main manual work would be done by her intern. I agreed and immediately transferred the payment. On the morning of September 19, 18 different ads were launched in my advertising account for 18 different audiences of 1000-2000 users. The webinar was broadcast on YouTube. Right before the webinar, my email sender broke down due to an error in setting up processes. But I killed the panic, unloaded the email database and made a newsletter about the start of the webinar from a backup mailer and through the mailing list on VKontakte. As a result of the webinar, I received 3 orders of 5 thousand rubles each, 2 of which were paid. YouTube statistics showed that 62 unique viewers were present in the online broadcast.

After the webinar, I decided to congratulate those who paid for participating in the course. It turned out that one of those who paid bought the course without watching the webinar, but simply on trust in me.

My conclusions from the launch of an online school

  1. After the webinar, I realized that with such results, I will be rocking the online school for several months, working in the red or in zero. I didn’t have free money to consistently attract people to webinars, pay for the platform, targetologist, consultations, and bear related costs.
  2. I decided to return the money to those who paid for the course and leave the restart of the school for the future.
  3. The person who bought the webinar without looking opened my eyes to how a personal brand works in practice. A personal brand is when people buy from you without hesitation and without asking questions. I liked it more than selling, handling objections and convincing people of something.
  4. In order to develop a personal brand, I decided to focus on what I do well and excellently - the development of my own media projects. I realized that first of all I need to develop my blog and at the same time plan and launch cool projects using my core competencies.
  5. When there are cool cases, fame and money behind you, launching an online school will be easy and pleasant.
