Haanel was born in 1866 in the northern US state of Michigan, but spent most of his life in the southern city of St. Louis. He began his career as a courier for an enamelware company and ended up as president of several large companies that dealt in everything from coffee growing to gold mining. “Everything is clear,” a reader versed in American business will say. - The so-called self made man: a man who made himself. He knew how, probably, to gnaw the throats of competitors and tear three skins from the working class. History, unfortunately, is silent about how formidable a "shark of business" Mr. Enel was; nothing is known about his yachts, football clubs or presidential ambitions either. Perhaps he was, after all, a representative of another breed of American businessmen, less studied by the average Russian. Their European ancestors were pious Christians and went to America precisely so that no one would interfere with their life by faith and conscience. To late XIX century, American Christianity gave rise to a new, but also a purely American worldview - New Thought, or New Thought; please do not confuse with Gorbachev's New Thinking. New Thought is characterized as "practical and at the same time an introduction to a spiritual way of life". This is a very vast and quite diverse movement that flourishes to this day, touching, but not mixing, on the one hand, with traditional "religious" spirituality, and on the other hand, with what is now called "New Age" and "esotericism" , and in Enel's time it was called "mysticism" and "occultism". The New Thought itself, however, also has much alternative titles- "science of success", "practical metaphysics", "creative thinking", "science of the mind", etc. So, Charles Enel was one of those entrepreneurs who believed that they owed all their success to the study of the laws of creative thinking and their application in everyday life and in business. Enel practiced the "power of thought" as passionately as he did his companies. The archives show that he was an active participant in a dozen organizations dealing with the physical, moral and mental development person. A thirty-second degree Mason; shriner; a member of: the Athletic Club, the Rosicrucian Society, the London College of Psychotherapy, the American Writers' League, the American Society for Psychical Research ... Finally, he wrote at least five books, one of which, "The Master Key System", had a great influence on further development of all New Thought. "Master Key" was created in 1912-1917 as a paid 24-week course distance learning. A master key, as you know, is a key that fits all the locks in the house. The creative thinking system created by Enel was positioned on the market as “the way to solve all problems”. The promotion of this product, of course, the 5th Master Key of Wish Fulfillment was greatly facilitated by the personal example of the author. Healthy, happy in marriage, harmoniously developed and lucky in business - Charles Enel really solved all his problems! Each lesson was mailed to students separately, along with a cover letter and test questions. The student had to save the lessons along with cover letters, and fill out the page with questions and return it to the sender. Enel sent another sheet in response, with the correct answers. These sheets were also recommended to be kept as a summary of the Master Key. It usually took a week to learn one lesson. Only the student who successfully completed all 24 lessons received the right to buy the entire "MK System" in the form of a book in an elegant leather cover. The System enjoyed great success for several decades at the beginning of the 20th century - and is still recognized as one of the unsurpassed masterpieces of this genre. The concise (sometimes to the point of aphorism) numbered paragraphs of Enel's lessons really contain a huge amount of Thought - perhaps now, so many years later, it no longer seems so "New", but this has not ceased to be true. We create our own reality! Thought is primary, matter is secondary! Anything is possible, you just have to want it! Practical exercises made it possible to verify the validity of theoretical theses, and answers to questions served as an inexhaustible source of positive affirmations for every day. In a letter to Enel dated April 21, 1919, Napoleon Hill, bestselling author of Think and Grow Rich, admitted: "My present success is largely due to the principles of the Master Key System." Another prominent figure in the New Thought, Claude Bristol, in his Introduction 6 book The Magic of Faith, quoted the Master Key in whole paragraphs. However, since the late 1930s, the correspondence course has ceased, and the book has not been republished. (Charles Haenel died in 1949.) Rumor has it that while studying at Harvard University this second-hand rarity accidentally fell into the hands of Bill Gates, after which he dropped out of school and began to realize his dream - "a computer on every desk" ... They even say that even today, when the "Master Key" is available in several electronic editions on English language, it is actively studied by the millionaires of Silicon Valley. If this is true, it means that the current generation of entrepreneurs and top managers of America understands that money is earned and progress is made not by the exploitation of the united and liquidation of competitors, but by the Power of the Enlightened Mind. For this Russian translation, the version of the "Master Key" was chosen recently - after more than half a century of interruption - by the American publisher Anthony Michalsky, an admirer and researcher of the works of Charles Enel. He slightly changed the structure of the material, combining, in particular, the answers with control questions, titled the lessons, and wrote the final section, The Master Key System Questions and Answers. We also contributed by dividing the text of each lesson into "Theses" and "Exercise", and calling the cover letters "Introductions". For the rest, both Anthony and we tried to preserve both the spirit and the letter of this wonderful classical work about the possibilities of creative human thought. Andrey Kostenko LESSON 1 OVERVIEW OF THE MASTER-KEY SYSTEM INTRODUCTION It is a great honor for me to bring to your attention Lesson One of the Master-Key System. Do you want to bring more power into your life? Then you need to gain consciousness of power. Do you want more health? You need health consciousness. Do you want more happiness? You need a consciousness of happiness. Get into the spirit of these blessings until they are rightfully yours. And then it will be impossible to alienate them from you. All things in the world are subject to the inner power of man. You don't need to acquire this power. You already own it! But you need to understand and use it, manage and absorb it in order to move on and succeed in this life. Gradually, as you master this System, as your Lesson 1 Overview of the Master Key System I1 plans crystallize and your inspiration grows stronger, you will gain understanding; you will begin to realize that this world is not a dead pile of stones and logs, but a living being! It consists of beating human hearts. It is full of life and beauty. Obviously, working with such material requires understanding, but those who have gained this understanding are inspired by New World- new power. Every day they gain more and more confidence and strength; they realize that their hopes and dreams are coming true, that their life has acquired a deeper, fuller, clearer meaning. THESES 1. Truth operates on any plane of existence: much attracts even more. It is equally true that loss entails even greater loss. 2. The mind is creative. All external conditions , all our environment, all our life experience is the result of our habitual, prevailing mental attitude. 3. The mood of the mind inevitably depends on what we think. Therefore, the secret of all power, all achievement and all possession is in the way we think. 4. For before we do, we must be. We can only do within the limits of what we are. And what we are depends on what we think. 5. We cannot manifest powers that we do not possess. The only way to master power is to be aware of power, and we cannot be aware of it until we understand that all power is within us. 6. There is a whole world inside us: a world of thought, feeling and power, full of light, life and beauty. And although he is invisible, his powers are enormous. 9 The Master Key for Wish Fulfillment 8. This inner world is controlled by the mind. By opening this world, we will find a solution to any problem, the cause of any effect. And since the world within us is subject to our control, all the laws of power and possession are also subject to us. 9. The outer world is a reflection of the inner. What arises outside has been found within. In the inner world we can find infinite Wisdom, infinite Power, an infinite Source of everything we need. They are waiting to unfold, develop and manifest. If we recognize these potentialities of the inner world, they are embodied in the outer world. 10. The outer world reflects harmony in the inner world with harmonious states, a pleasant environment around us, and all the best. It is the foundation of health and the essential ingredient of all greatness, all strength, all gain, achievement, and success. 10. Harmony in the inner world means the ability to control our thoughts and determine for ourselves what effect this or that life experience will have on us. 11. Harmony in the inner world creates optimism and abundance; internal abundance leads to external abundance. 12. The outer world reflects the circumstances and states of the inner consciousness. 13. If we find wisdom in the inner world, then we will gain understanding that will allow us to discern the wonderful possibilities hidden in this inner world. Then we will receive the power to manifest these possibilities in the outside world. 14. Realizing the wisdom in the inner world, our mind takes possession of it. And then we enter into the real possession of the power and wisdom necessary to create in the outer world that which essential for our most complete and harmonious development. The inner world is a practical world; it is a world where strong people generate courage, hope, enthusiasm, confidence, trust and faith. All this gives them the refinement of the mind to have a dream and the practical skills to make the dream a reality. Life is a constant unfoldment, not just an expansion. What comes to us in the outer world is already in our inner world. Any possession is based on consciousness. Any acquisition is the result of a cumulative consciousness. Any loss is the result of wasteful consciousness. The productivity of the mind depends on harmony. Discord means failure. Therefore, one who wishes to receive power must be in harmony with Natural Law. Objective reason connects us with the external world. The organ of this mind is the brain, while the cerebrospinal nervous system provides its conscious communication with every part of the body. This nervous system responds to every sensation of light, heat, smell, sound, and taste. When this mind thinks correctly, when it understands the truth, when the thoughts sent into the body through the cerebrospinal nervous system are creative, these sensations are pleasant - and harmonious. As a result, our body is filled with energy, creative life force. But through the same objective mind, we can let grief, illness, need, limitation, and all kinds of 11 22. 23. 24. 25. 26. The Master Key of fulfilling the desires of discord and disharmony into our lives. Therefore, it is objective reason that, through wrong thinking, connects us with all destructive forces. The subconscious or subjective mind connects us with the inner world. Its organ is the solar plexus. All subjective sensations, such as joy, love, excitement, breathing, imagination, and other subconscious phenomena, are controlled by the sympathetic nervous system. It is the subconscious that connects us with the Universal Mind and gives us access to the Infinite creative forces of the Universe. Coordinating these two centers of our being and understanding their functions is the key to the great secret of life. With this knowledge, we can consciously maintain the interaction of the objective and subjective minds, thus controlling the finite and the infinite. Our future is completely in our control. It is not at the mercy of capricious and changeable external forces. All people agree that there is only one Beginning or Consciousness that permeates and fills the entire Universe, being everywhere essentially the same. It is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. All thoughts and things are within Him. It is "everything in everything". There is only one consciousness in the Universe capable of thinking. And when it thinks, its thoughts become objective things for it. Since this Consciousness is omnipresent, it must be present in everyone; and each of us must be an expression of that Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Consciousness. From the fact that there is only one Consciousness in the Universe that can think, it necessarily follows L Lesson 1. Overview of the Master Key System 27.28.29.30.31.12 that your consciousness is identical with the Universal Consciousness - or, in other words, all minds are one mind. This conclusion is inevitable. The consciousness that is concentrated in your brain cells is the same consciousness that is in the brain cells of any other person. Each human mind is only an individualization of the Universal, Cosmic Mind. The Universal Mind is static or potential energy; he just is; it can only be revealed through human mind, and human - only through the Universal. They are one. A person's ability to think is his ability to influence the Universal Mind and manifest it. Human consciousness consists only in the ability to think. Kenneth Walker says: “The mind itself is considered to be a subtle form of static energy, from which is born an activity called “thought” - the dynamic phase of the mind. Mind is static energy, thought is dynamic; they are two phases of the same phenomenon.” Therefore, thought is a vibratory force generated by the transition of the mind from a static phase to a dynamic one. Since the Universal Mind, which is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent, contains the sum of all properties, all properties must always be potentially present in every person. Therefore, when a person thinks, the thought, by its very nature, is doomed to be embodied in an objective reality or circumstances corresponding to the original source of this thought. This means that every thought is a cause, and every state is a consequence. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary for you to control your thoughts in order to create only the states you need. 13 The Master Key of Wish Fulfillment 33. All power comes from within and is completely under your control; it is brought to us by the precise knowledge and conscious application of certain principles. 34. Obviously, having understood this law well and having learned to control your mental activity, you will be able to apply this law to any situation; in other words, you will begin conscious cooperation with the Almighty Law, which is the fundamental basis of all things. 35. Universal Mind - the basis of the existence of each atom; every atom is constantly trying to manifest more more life; everything around is rational, and everything is trying to achieve the goal for which it was created. 36. Most people live in the outside world; only a few have found inner peace, and yet it is he who creates the outer world. It means that he is creative, and everything that you see in your outer world has already been created by you in the inner. 37. The Master Key system will help you use the power that will be yours once you understand the connection between the outer and inner worlds. The inner world is the cause, the outer world is the effect; To change the effect, you need to change the cause. 38. You will immediately notice that this is a fundamentally new idea, unlike anything before. Most people try to change the consequences by working with the consequences. They don't understand that it's just replacing one suffering with another. To eliminate discord, you need to eliminate the cause, which can only be found in the inner world. 39. All growth comes from within. Everything in nature demonstrates this. Any plant, animal, any person is a living evidence of this great Lesson 39. 40. 41. 42. 43. 1. Overview of the "Master Key" system 14 of the law; people have been making the same mistake for centuries: they are looking for strength and energy outside. The inner world is the "universal cornucopia", and the outer world is its mouth. Our ability to receive depends on our degree of recognition of this Universal Source, this Infinite Energy that each of us is. Recognition is a mental process. Thus, mental activity is the interaction of a person with the Universal Mind. And since the Universal Mind is consciousness that permeates all space and gives life to all living things, this mental action and reverse action gives us the law of causality, however, the basis of this connection is not in a person, but in the Universal Mind. This is not an objective ability, but a subjective process, and its results are visible in an infinite variety of states and situations. To express life, reason is needed; without it, nothing exists. Everything that exists is a manifestation of this single fundamental substance, from which and by means of which everything that exists is created and constantly recreated. We live in a bottomless sea of malleable mind substance. This substance is eternally alive and active. She is in the highest degree sensitive. She accepts various forms according to the dictates of reason. Thought creates a form, or matrix, on which matter is cast. Remember that the result of the request is already contained in the request itself, and that a practical understanding of this law replaces poverty with abundance, ignorance with wisdom, discord with harmony and tyranny with freedom, and yet these are the greatest of material and social benefits. 15 The Master Key for Fulfilling Desires EXERCISE 44. Now start learning how to express your requests. Choose a room where you can be alone and no one will disturb you. Sit straight - so that you are comfortable, but not lounging; let your thoughts wander where they please, but remain completely still for fifteen minutes to half an hour; do this for three or four days or a week until you have complete control over your physical being. 45. To many this will seem an extremely difficult task, to others it will be easy, but before continuing with classes, it is absolutely necessary to learn to fully control your body. Next week you will receive instructions for your next step, but for now, master this exercise. CONTROL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS TO THEM 1. What is the external world in relation to the internal? The outer world is a reflection of the inner world. 2. On what does all possession depend? Any possession is based on consciousness. 3. How is a person connected with the objective world? Discord, disharmony, want and limitation are the result of wrong thinking. 10. Where is the source of all strength? The source of all forces is the inner world, the Universal Source, the Infinite Energy, the conductor of which is every person. LESSON 2 Fundamentals of YOUR MIND INTRODUCTION The difficulties we have are mostly due to confusion and ignorance of our true interests. Before us is a serious task - to discover the laws of nature, in accordance with which we must bring ourselves. Therefore, clear thinking and spiritual insight are priceless blessings for us. All processes, even thought processes, are based on a solid foundation. The sharper our senses, the more insightful our judgments, the more refined our taste, the purer our morals, the more refined our reason, the higher our aspirations, the purer and greater the reward that life brings us. Therefore, the study of the best thoughts in the world brings the greatest pleasure. The newly discovered powers, uses, and possibilities of the mind are incomparably more amazing than the most astonishing achievements of material progress! Lesson 2: Fundamentals of Your Mind 18 Thought is energy. Active thought is active energy; concentrated thought is concentrated energy. Thought focused on a specific goal becomes power. This power is used by those who do not believe in the virtue of poverty and the beauty of self-denial. They perceive these values as "the comfort of the weak." The ability to receive and manifest this power depends on the ability to recognize the Infinite Energy, eternally abiding in a person, constantly creating and recreating his body and mind, at any moment ready to manifest through him in any desired form. The manifestation of power in the external life of a person is directly proportional to the degree of recognition of this truth by him. THESES 1. The work of the mind is represented by two parallel activities, one of which is conscious, the other is subconscious. Professor Davidson says: "He who expects to illuminate all kinds of mental activity with the light of his own consciousness is not much different from someone who is going to illuminate the Universe with a hand-held flashlight." 2. Subconscious logical processes are characterized by certainty and correctness, which would be impossible if they allowed the possibility of error. Our mind is arranged in such a way that it contains the most important foundations of knowledge, while we ourselves have no idea how this is done. 3. The subconscious soul, like a benevolent stranger, works and looks after our welfare, giving us only ripe fruits in our hands. The final analysis of thought processes shows us that the subconscious is the theater of the most important mental phenomena. 19 The Master Key to Fulfilling Desires 5. It was through the subconscious mind that Shakespeare effortlessly acquired the great truths hidden from the conscious mind of the student. This is how Phidias sculpted marble and bronze, Raphael wrote his Madonnas, and Beethoven composed symphonies. 6. Ease and skill completely depend on the degree of our independence from consciousness. Skill in playing the piano, skating, typing - in general, in any profession that requires skilled labor - depends on the activity of the subconscious mind. The marvel of brilliantly playing a piece on the piano while maintaining a lively conversation shows us the power of our subconscious forces. 7. We all know how much we, with our greatest, noblest and brightest thoughts, depend on the subconscious, and this is all the more obvious because their source is beyond our perception. We find ourselves endowed with tact, instincts, a sense of beauty in painting, music, etc., completely unaware of the source and location of these qualities. 8. The value of the subconscious mind is enormous. It inspires us, it warns us; it brings us names, facts and pictures from the storehouse of memory; it guides our thoughts, tastes, and performs such intricate tasks that our conscious mind could not handle them even if it had the strength to do so. 9. If we compare these two types of activity - activity dictated by the will of the moment, and activity that flows smoothly, majestically, rhythmically, unshakable and constant at any moment - the latter will inspire us with reverence and make us look for an explanation of this riddle. We immediately understand that this is Lesson 2. The processes vital for our physical existence, and the conclusion suggests itself that these most important functions are not accidentally alienated from our outwardly directed will, with all its changes and transitions, and placed under the direction a constant and reliable force within us. 10. The external and changeable of these two forces is called the conscious or objective mind (it deals with external objects 11.12.13.14). The inner force is called the subconscious or subjective mind. In addition to its work on the mental plane, it governs the normal bodily functions that sustain our physical existence. It is necessary to clearly understand the functions of these two minds on the mental plane, as well as some other fundamental principles. Perceiving the world through the five primary senses and acting through them, the conscious mind deals with the impressions and objects of outer life. This mind is endowed with the faculty of discrimination, which carries with it the responsibility for choice. He is endowed with the faculty of reasoning - inductive, deductive, analytical or syllogistic - and this power can be very highly developed. This is the seat of the will and all the energies flowing from it. He is able not only to influence other minds, but also to control the subconscious mind. Thus the conscious mind becomes the responsible ruler and guardian of the subconscious. This is his high mission, capable of dramatically changing the conditions of your life. Often states of fear, anxiety, poverty, illness, disharmony and other evils take over us 21 15. 16. 17. 18. 19. The Master Key of Wish Fulfillment prevails due to false assumptions perceived by the unprotected subconscious mind. A well-trained conscious mind can prevent all this through vigilant protective activity. It may well be called the "guardian of the gates" of the great realm of the subconscious. One writer expressed the basic difference between the two phases of the mind thus: “The conscious mind is the reasoning will. The subconscious mind is an instinctive desire, the result of a past reasoning will. The subconscious mind draws fair and accurate conclusions from premises taken from external sources. If the premise is true, the subconscious mind comes to an unmistakable conclusion. If the premise or indication is false, the whole construction collapses. The subconscious mind is not involved in the process of proving. He relies on the conscious mind, the "guardian of the gate", hoping that he will protect him from erroneous instructions. Accepting all instructions as true, the subconscious mind begins to act in accordance with them throughout its vast field of activity. The conscious mind can give him a true or erroneous indication. In the latter case, the price of a mistake can also be a threat to the life of this creature. The conscious mind must be alert during all waking hours. When the "watchman" is not "on duty" or his sober reasoning is temporarily suspended for a number of reasons, the subconscious mind is left unprotected, open to instructions from any source. In times of wild excitement caused by panic, in the heat of anger, under the influence of impulses of an insane crowd or other uncontrolled passions, these states are most dangerous. At such a moment, the subconscious mind is open to suggestions of fear, hatred, selfishness, greed, self-abasement and other negative forces coming from the people or circumstances around us. The results of this are usually extremely unfavorable, and the consequences of this may torment us for a long time. Therefore, it is very important to protect the subconscious mind from false suggestions. The subconscious mind understands intuitively. That is why it works quickly. He does not follow the slow path of conscious reasoning. In fact, he doesn't know how to use it. The subconscious mind never sleeps, knows no rest, just like your heart, your blood. It has been found that it is enough to simply formulate certain tasks to the subconscious mind, as it sets in motion the forces by which the desired result is achieved. This is the source of strength that binds us to the Omnipotence. Here, within, there is a deep root cause that deserves the deepest study. The effect of this law is interesting. Those who put it into action, going to the person with whom a difficult conversation was expected, suddenly discover that “something” has already been here before them and solved all the problems! Everything has changed - everything has become harmonious. People are discovering that when they face a serious business problem, they can afford to take a break and "something" will tell them the right solution. Everything is settled! Indeed, those who have learned to trust the subconscious find that they have limitless resources at their disposal. The subconscious mind is the seat of our principles and aspirations. It is the source of our artistic and altruistic ideals. These 23 24. 25. 26. 27. Master Key Wish Fulfillment instincts can only be subverted by diligent and consistent activity to undermine innate principles. The subconscious mind is incapable of contradiction. Therefore, if he takes wrong directions, the surest way to overcome them is to use a powerful opposite direction and repeat it often so that the mind accepts it and eventually forms new, healthy habits and thoughts about life. After all, the subconscious mind is the habitat of the Habit. What we do repeatedly becomes automatic and ceases to be the result of judgment, taking root in the subconscious mind. And it is good for us if the habit is healthy and correct. The cure for a bad and wrong habit is the recognition of the omnipotence of the subconscious mind and the suggestion to oneself of the thought of one's own freedom at the moment. endowed creativity and one with our Divine Source, the subconscious mind will immediately create that freedom. To summarize the above: the normal functions of the subconscient on the physical plane are concerned with the regulation and sustenance of life, with the maintenance of life and the restoration of health; with care for offspring, containing in itself an instinctive desire to preserve all life and improve its conditions as a whole. On the mental plane it is the storehouse of memory; wonderful messengers of thought are hidden in it, working independently of time and space; it is the source of practical initiative and creative vitality. This is the habitat of habit. On the spiritual plane, it is the source of ideals, aspirations, imagination, and the channel through which we learn Lesson 2. The Foundations of Your Mind 24 is our Divine Source. And to the extent that we recognize this divinity, we understand the source of power. 28. Someone will ask: “How can the subconscious mind change our state?” The answer is: it is possible, because the subconscious is a part of the Universal Mind, and the part must correspond to the whole in kind and quality; the only difference is in scale. The whole, as we know, is endowed with the ability to create; it, in fact, is the only creator, and therefore the mind is also capable of creating. Since thinking is the only type of activity available to the mind, thought must also be creative. 29. However, we understand that there is a huge difference between simple "thinking" and conscious, systematic and creatively directed thinking. Thinking in this way, we bring our mind into harmony with the Universal Mind, tune in to the Infinite, set in motion the greatest of the existing forces - the creative power of the Universal Mind. This, like everything else, is governed by a natural law, and this law is the "Law of Attraction": The mind is endowed with the ability to create and automatically interacts with the object of thought, bringing it to life. EXERCISE 30 last week I have given you an exercise to learn how to control your physical body. If you have completed it, then you are ready to move on. This time you will begin to control your thoughts. If possible, train always in the same room, on the same chair, 25 Master Key of Wish Fulfillment in the same posture. Sometimes it is impossible to study in the same room: in this case, just make the most of the available conditions. Now, as before, be completely still, but hold back any thoughts. Over time, this will allow you to control all the thoughts that worry, worry, and scare you, and develop only the ones you want. Keep practicing until you've mastered this skill. 31. You won't be able to do this for more than a few moments at first, but this exercise is very helpful because it will show you very clearly how many thoughts are constantly trying to enter your mental world. 32. Next week you will receive instructions for an exercise that seems more interesting to you, but first you need to learn how to do it. Cause and effect are as absolute and unchanging in the hidden realm of thought as they are in the world of visible, material things. The mind is a skillful weaver of both the undergarment (character) and the outer garment (circumstances). James Allen CONTROL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1 1 . What are the two types of mental activity? Conscious and subconscious. 12. On what do ease and skill depend? From the degree of our independence from the conscious mind. Lesson 2: Fundamentals of Your Mind 26 13. What is the value of the subconscious mind? It is huge: the subconscious directs, warns us, controls life processes, it contains memory. 14. Name several functions of the conscious mind. He is able to discern; endowed with the ability to reason; in him is the will; it can affect the subconscious. 15. How is the difference between the conscious and the subconscious expressed? The conscious mind is the reasoning will. The subconscious mind is an instinctive desire, the result of a past reasoning will. 16. What method is needed to influence the subconscious? Mental formulation of the desired. 17. What will be the result? If the desire is in harmony with the forward movement of the great Whole, forces will be brought into play that will bring about the result. 18. What is the effect of this law? Our environment reflects the states that correspond to the prevailing mental attitude that we develop in ourselves. 19. What is the name of this law? Law of Attraction. 20. How is it formulated? The mind is endowed with the ability to create and automatically interacts with the object of thought, bringing it to life. LESSON C BE AWARE OF YOUR MENTAL RESOURCES INTRODUCTION You have already learned that the Individual can influence the Universal Mind, and the result of this action and interaction is cause and effect. Thought is the cause, and the circumstances you encounter in life are the effect. Therefore, give up all attempts to complain about past or present circumstances, since it is your task to change them and make them what you would like to see. Direct your efforts to the realization of mental resources that are always at your disposal and generate any real and lasting power. Continue to persevere until you realize that if you understand your strength and persevere in pursuit of the right goal, it is impossible not to achieve it. After all, the forces of the mind are always at the disposal of the purposeful will and are ready to begin to translate thought and desire into actions, events and states. Since the source of every vital function and every action is in conscious thought, habitual actions become automatic, and the thought that controls them passes into the realm of the subconscious. However, she remains the same reasonable. It needs to become automatic or subconscious so that the conscious mind can do other things. But new actions, in turn, will become habitual, and then automatic and subconscious, in order to again free the mind from these details and allow it to move on to other activities. Realizing this, you will find a source of strength that will allow you to cope with any situation that has developed in your life. THESES 1. The necessary interaction of the conscious and subconscious minds requires a similar interaction of the corresponding nervous systems. This interaction is beautifully described by Thomas Troward: “The cerebrospinal system is the organ of the conscious mind, and the sympathetic system is the organ of the subconscious mind. The cerebrospinal system is the channel through which we receive conscious perception from the physical senses and control the movements of the body. The center of this nervous system is the brain. 2. The center of the Sympathetic System is located in the ganglionic mass behind the stomach, known as the Solar Plexus. This is the channel of the mental action that subconsciously supports the vital functions of the body. Communication between the two systems is carried out through the vagus nerve, which leaves the brain region to the chest and extends its branches to the heart and lungs. Finally, passing through the diaphragm, it loses its outer sheath and connects with the nerves of the Sympathetic System, linking both systems together and making a person a physically single entity. We have seen that every thought is received by the brain, the organ of consciousness; here it is left to our consideration. When the objective mind is satisfied that the thought is correct, it sends it to the Solar Plexus, or the brain of the subjective mind, to enter our flesh, to enter the world as a reality. Now it can no longer be the subject of objections. The subconscious mind does not know how to object; he only acts. He accepts the conclusions of objective reason as final. The solar plexus is called the "sun of the body" because it is the central point of distribution of the energy constantly generated by the body. This is a very real energy, and this "sun" is also very real. The energy travels through very real nerves to all parts of the body and is expelled into the atmosphere surrounding the body. If this radiation is strong enough, the person is said to be attractive; he is said to have a strong "personal magnetism". Such a person has great power. Often, his mere presence calms the troubled minds that cross his path. When the Solar Plexus is in action and radiates vital energy to every part of the body, Lesson 3. Be aware of your mental resources 30 and send it to everyone you meet, the person experiences pleasant sensations, his body is full of health and everyone with whom he interacts is also good and Nice. 8. If this radiation is interrupted for some reason, our sensations become unpleasant, the flow of life and energy to some parts of the body stops. This is the cause of any human disease - physical, mental or social. 9. Physical ailment arises from the fact that the "corporal sun" no longer produces enough energy to revitalize some part of the body; psychic, because the conscious mind depends on the subconscious to produce the vital force necessary to sustain its thought; social ailment arises from the fact that the connection between the subconscious mind and the Universal mind is interrupted. 10. The Solar Plexus is the place where the part unites with the whole, the finite becomes the Infinite, the Uncreated becomes the Created, the Universal becomes individualized, the Invisible becomes visible. This is the place where life arises, and the life energy that a person can generate from his solar center is limitless. 11. This energy center is Omnipotent as it is the place of contact with all life and all intelligence. Therefore, he can do anything he is ordered to do, and the power of the conscious mind is in him; the subconscious can and will implement those plans and ideas that the conscious mind will offer it. 12. This means that the conscious thought is the master of this solar center, from which the life and energy of the whole body emanates, and the quality, character and nature of our thought determine the quality, 2 Master Key 31 it is the sun, and therefore the nature that is formed as a result of life circumstances. 13. So it is obvious that we are only required to let our light shine; the more energy we can radiate, the faster we can turn unwanted states into sources of pleasure and profit. Then it is important to know how to let it shine, how to create that energy. 14. Unresisting thought expands the solar plexus; resisting - reduces. A pleasant thought expands it; unpleasant - reduces. Thoughts of courage, strength, confidence and hope create a corresponding state, but the solar plexus has one mortal enemy that must be completely destroyed in order to be able to shine at all, and that enemy is fear. This enemy must be completely destroyed. Get rid of. Banish forever. He is the cloud that hides the sun, creating eternal darkness. 15. It is this personal devil that makes people afraid of the past, present and future; be afraid of ourselves, our friends and enemies; afraid of everything and everyone. When fear is successfully and completely destroyed, your light will shine, the clouds will dissipate, and you will find a source of strength, energy and life. 16. When you understand that you are truly one with the Infinite Power, and can consciously realize this power by demonstrating in practice your ability to overcome any hostile circumstance with the power of your thought, you will have nothing to fear. Fear will be destroyed and you will step into your original rights. 17. The life experience that we have to get sets the attitude of our mind to life. If we Lesson 3. Be aware of your mental resources 18.19.20.21.22.d 32 do not expect anything, then we will not receive anything. If we demand a lot, we will receive a larger share. The world is harsh only when we cannot defend our rights. Criticism of the world is cruel only for those who cannot defend their ideas. Many ideas never see the light of day because of the fear of this criticism. But a person who knows that he has a Solar Plexus is not afraid of criticism or anything else; he is too busy radiating courage, confidence and strength; he will mentally anticipate success; he will shatter all obstacles, jump over all the abysses of doubt and hesitation that fear places in his path. Knowing our ability to consciously radiate health, strength and harmony will allow us to realize that there is nothing to fear, since we are connected to the Infinite Power. This knowledge can only be acquired by applying this information in practice. We can only learn something by doing something; so the athlete gains strength in training. Since the following statement is very important, I will put it in several versions so that you will fully understand its full significance. If you are religious, I would say that you can let your light shine. If your mind is naturally inclined, I would say that you can awaken the Solar Plexus. Or, if you prefer a psychological explanation, I would say that you can influence your subconscious mind. I have already said what the result of this influence will be. This is the way you are now interested in. You have already learned that the subconscious mind is intelligent, creative, and responsive to the will of the conscious mind. So, what is the 33rd Master Key for the fulfillment of desires 23. 24. 25. 26. 27. the most natural way produce the desired effect? Mentally focus on the object of your desire; Concentrating, you work on the subconscious. This is not the only way, but a simple and effective way. And the most direct, and therefore, giving the best results. This method gives such extraordinary results that it seems to many that miracles are happening. It is the way in which every great inventor, every great financier, every great statesman were able to turn the elusive and invisible force of desire, faith and confidence into real, tangible, material facts of the objective world. The subconscious mind is part of the Universal Mind. The part must correspond in appearance and quality to the whole. Therefore, this creative power is absolutely limitless; it is not bound by any precedent, that is, it does not have a primary model according to which it must apply its creative principle. We have found that the subconscious mind is under the control of our conscious will, which means that the unlimited creative power of the Universal Mind is controlled by the conscious mind of the individual. In applying this principle in practice, in accordance with the exercises given in the following lessons, it is useful to remember that it is not at all necessary to describe the way in which the subconscious mind will create the results of your desire. The finite cannot notify the Infinite. You just need to say what you want, not how you should get it. Lesson 3: Become aware of your mental resources 28. You are the channel through which the uniform becomes diverse, and this differentiation occurs through purpose. Causes need only be recognized to set in motion the results that will suit your desire. And so it turns out because the Universal Mind can act only through a person, and a person - only through the Universal Mind; they are one. EXERCISE 29 As an exercise this week, I'm going to ask you to go one step further. I want you to not only be completely still and hold back all thoughts as much as possible, but also relax, free yourself, allow the muscles to return to their normal state. This will take all the pressure off the nerves and eliminate the tension that so often leads to physical fatigue. 30. Physical relaxation is a voluntary exercise of the will, and this exercise will prove very useful to you, as it allows the blood to circulate freely between the brain and the body. 31. Tension leads to restlessness of the mind and its incorrect activity; hence the excitement, anxiety, fears, anxiety. Therefore, relaxation is absolutely necessary for us in order to give the greatest freedom to our mental abilities. 32. Do this exercise as hard as you can. Tune in mentally to relax every muscle and nerve until you feel calm and quiet, at peace with yourself and the world. 33. Then the Solar Plexus will be ready for action, and the result will surprise you. 35 The Master Key to Fulfilling Desires CONTROL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 21. Which nervous system is the organ of the conscious mind? Cerebrospinal. 22. Which nervous system is the organ of the subconscious mind? Sympathetic. 23. Where is the center of distribution of the energy constantly produced by the body? In the solar plexus. 24. How can this distribution be interrupted? Thoughts containing resistance, criticism, contention, but especially fear. 25. What is the result of this interruption? All the troubles that befall the human race. 26. How can this energy be controlled and directed? Conscious thought. 27. How can you completely destroy fear? Understanding and acknowledging the true source of all power. 28. What determines the circumstances we face in life? Our predominant mental attitude. 29. How can the Solar Plexus be awakened? By mentally concentrating on the situation we wish to create in life. 30. What is the creative principle of the Universe? Universal Mind. LESSON 4 FROM EFFECT TO CAUSE INTRODUCTION L/rock fourth will explain to you why what you J think or do or feel indicates who you are. Thought is energy, and energy is power, and precisely because all religions, sciences and philosophies that the world has known to this day are based on the manifestation of this energy, and not on itself, our world has always been limited by consequences, ignoring or not understanding the reasons. Because of this, in our religion there is God and the Devil, in science - positive and negative, in philosophy - good and bad. The "Master Key" reverses the process; this system is only interested in the cause, and the letters coming from the disciples tell me wonderful stories; they convincingly prove that disciples find the reasons, thus gaining health, harmony, abundance, and everything else that they need for well-being and happiness. Life is expression, and our goal in it is to express ourselves harmoniously and creatively. Grief, sadness, unhappiness, sickness and poverty are not necessary, and we are constantly eliminating them. But this elimination process is to rise above any limitations, to go beyond them. He who has strengthened and purified his thought may not worry about germs, and he who has realized the law of abundance immediately reaches the source of blessings. Thus fate, fate, chance become easily subject to us, like a ship to a captain or a train driver. THESES 1. Your "I" is not a physical body. The body is just a tool used by the "I" to achieve its goals. There can be no “I” and the mind, because the mind is just another tool that the “I” needs in order to think, reason and plan. 2. "I" must be something that controls both body and mind, that directs them, determines what they will do and how they will act. Realizing the true nature of your "I", you can enjoy the feeling of power unknown to you before. 3. Your personality is made up of countless individual characteristics, idiosyncrasies, habits, and traits; they are the result of your previous way of thinking, but have nothing to do with the real "I". 4. When you say "I think", your "I" tells the mind what to think; when you say "I'm going" Lesson 4. From effect to cause 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 38 your "I" tells the physical body where to go. The real nature of the Self is spiritual, and it is the source of the real power that comes to people when they realize their true nature. The greatest and most wonderful power endowed by the "I" is the power of thinking, but few know how to think creatively, that is, correctly, and therefore people usually achieve only insignificant results. Most people allow their thoughts to focus on selfish goals: this is an inevitable consequence of infantile thinking. When the mind matures, it understands that in every selfish thought there is a seed of defeat. A trained mind knows that every trade must benefit everyone who is involved in it in one way or another, and any attempt to profit from the weakness, ignorance, or need of another inevitably works against him. This is because the individual is part of the Universal Mind. A part cannot resist any other part; on the contrary, the well-being of each of the parts depends on their recognition of the interests of the whole. Those who recognize this principle have a great advantage in life. They don't wear themselves out. They can easily eliminate wandering, idle thoughts. They are always ready to focus on any subject as much as possible. They waste neither time nor money on something that will never benefit them. If you can't do it, it's because you haven't tried hard enough so far. It's time to try. The result will directly depend on your efforts. Here is a very powerful 39 Master Key Wish-Fulfilling Affirmation* that you can use to strengthen your will and realize your unlimited possibilities: "I can be whoever I want to be." 10. Every time you repeat this, be aware of who and what the "I" is; try to clearly understand the true nature of "I". If you succeed, you will become invulnerable - of course, if your goals and intentions are creative and in harmony with the creative principle of the Universe. 11. Use this affirmation! Use it constantly, in the mornings and evenings, and also every time you think of it during the day; practice it until it becomes part of you. Create this good habit for yourself. 12. If you don't do this, it would be better for you not to start this course at all. Modern psychology states that by starting something and not finishing it, or by making a decision and not sticking to it, we form the habit of defeat - complete, shameful defeat. If you don't intend to do something, don't start; if you have started, finish the job, even if the sky falls on you! If you decide to do something, do it. Don't let anything or anyone stop you. The "I" in you is determined, everything is decided; the die is cast, no more objections and disputes. 13. If you stick to this idea, starting with the little things that you can definitely control, and gradually trying more and more, but under no circumstances letting anything get the better of your "I", then in the end you will be able to control * Affirmation ( letters, “statement”) - a formula for self-hypnosis. - Lesson 4. From the effect - to the cause 14. 15. 16. 17. 18. 19. * 40 by yourself. But many people, to their chagrin, found that it is easier to rule a kingdom than to rule themselves. But when you learn to control yourself, you will find the "Inner World" that controls the outer world; you will become irresistible; people and things will respond to your every desire without any apparent effort on your part. This is not as strange and impossible as it might seem, if we remember that the Inner World is controlled by the "I", and this "I" is part of the Infinite "I", which is the Universal

Considered a classic of the literature on the creative power of thought, this book provides the clearest, most comprehensive yet concise explanation of the laws that underlie success.
If you want to achieve something - not only in business, but just in life - the Master Key System will teach you how to do it. Bill Gates and Silicon Valley millionaires are said to have read Charles Enel's book. Napoleon Hill himself, author of the bestseller Think and Grow Rich, admitted that he owed his success in life to The Master Key. Now this unique practical guide is available to everyone. INTRODUCTION
ABOUT THIS BOOK AND ITS AUTHOR

Charles F. Haanel (Charies F. Haanel) was born in 1866 in North

the US state of Michigan, but spent most of his life in the southern city of St. Louis. He started his career as a courier for an enamelware company and ended up as the president of several large companies that ~~ ~~ did everything in the world - from growing coffee to gold mining. “Everything is clear,” a reader versed in American business will say. - The so-called self mad e tap: a person who made himself. He knew how, probably, to gnaw the throats of competitors and tear three skins from the working class. History, unfortunately, is silent about how formidable a "shark of business" Mr. Enel was; nothing is known about his yachts, football clubs or presidential ambitions either. Perhaps, after all, he was a representative of another breed of American businessmen, less studied by the average Russian. Their European ancestors were pious Christians and went to America precisely so that no one would interfere with their life by faith and conscience. By the end of the 19th century, American Christianity gave rise to a new, but also a purely American worldview - New Thought, or New Thought; please do not confuse with Gorbachev's New Thinking. New Thought is characterized as "practical and at the same time
spiritual way of life. This is a very vast and quite diverse movement that flourishes to this day, touching, but not mixing, on the one hand, with traditional "religious" spirituality, and on the other hand, with what is now called "New Age" and "esotericism" , and in Enel's time it was called "mysticism" and "occultism".
New Thought itself, however, also has many alternative names - “science of success”, “practical metaphysics”, “creative thinking”, “science of the mind”, etc.
So, Charles Enel was one of those entrepreneurs who believed that they owed all their success to the study of the laws of creative thinking and their application in everyday life and in business. Enel practiced the "power of thought" as passionately as he did his companies. Archives show that he was an active participant in a dozen organizations involved in the physical, moral and mental development of man. A thirty-second degree Mason; shriner; member of: Athletic Club, Rosicrucian Society, London College of Psychotherapy, American Writers League, American Society for Psychical Research ... Finally, he wrote at least five books, one of which, "The Master Key System" ”, had a great influence on the further development of the entire New Thought.
"Master Key" was created in 1912-1917 as a paid 24-week correspondence course. A master key, as you know, is a key that fits all the locks in the house. The creative thinking system created by Enel was positioned on the market as “the way to solve all problems”. The promotion of this product, of course,
greatly contributed to the personal example of the author.
In a letter to Enel dated April 21, 1919, Napoleon Hill, bestselling author of Think and Grow Rich, admitted: "My present success is largely due to the principles of the Master Key System." Another prominent New Thought figure, Claude Bristol, in his
book "The Magic of Faith" quoted the "Master Key" for entire paragraphs.
However, since the late 1930s, the correspondence course has ceased, and the book has not been republished. (Charles Enel died in 1949.) Rumor has it that while studying at Harvard University, this second-hand rarity accidentally fell into the hands of Bill Gates, after which he dropped out and began to realize his dream - "a computer on every desk" ... It is even claimed that even today, when the "Master Key" is available in several electronic editions in English, it is actively studied by the millionaires of Silicon Valley.
He slightly restructured the material, including combining answers with security questions, gave the lessons headings, and wrote the last section, The Master Key System: Questions and Answers. We also did our part, dividing the text of each lesson into "Theses" and "Exercise", and calling the cover letters "Introductions". As for the rest, both Anthony and we tried to preserve both the spirit and the letter of this wonderful classical work about the possibilities of creative human thought.

LESSON 1
OVERVIEW OF THE MASTER-KEY SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
It is my great honor to offer you Lesson One of the Master Key System.
Gradually, as you master this System, as your
plans and strengthen your inspiration, you will gain understanding; you will begin to realize that this world is not a dead pile of stones and logs, but a living being! It consists of beating human hearts. It is full of life and beauty.
Obviously, working with such material requires understanding, but those who have gained this understanding are inspired by new light - new power. Every day they gain more and more confidence and strength; they realize that their hopes and dreams are coming true, that their life has acquired a deeper, fuller, clearer meaning.
THESES
1. Truth operates on any plane of being: much attracts even more. It is equally true that loss entails even greater loss.
2. The mind is creative. All external conditions, all our environment, all our life experience are the result of our habitual, prevailing mental attitude.
3. Attunement of the mind inevitably depends on what we think. Therefore, the secret of all strength, of all achievement and of all possession, is in the way we think.
7. This inner world is controlled by the mind. By opening this world, we will find a solution to any problem, the cause of any effect. And since the world within us is subject to our control, all the laws of power and possession are also subject to us.

Lesson 4. FROM EFFECT TO CAUSE.

INTRODUCTION Lesson four will explain to you why what you think or do or feel indicates who you are. Thought is energy, and energy is power, and precisely because all religions, sciences and philosophies that the world has known to this day are based on the manifestation of this energy, and not on itself, our world has always been limited by consequences, ignoring or not understanding the reasons. 16. This is not just a theoretical argument: it is a fact accepted by the best of thinkers - both in the field of religion and in the field of science.

17. Herbert Spencer stated: "Among all the mysteries surrounding us, the most undoubted is that around us there is always an Infinite and Eternal Energy from which all things come."

18. Lyman Abbott said in an address to the graduates of Bangor Seminary: "We are coming to the conclusion that God lives in the person himself rather than acts on people from outside."

19. Science stops after a short journey in its search. Science finds only the omnipresent Eternal Energy, but Religion sees the Force behind this energy and places it inside a person. But this is by no means a new discovery; the Bible says the same thing, and its language is just as convincing and simple: "Don't you know that you are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you?" This is the secret of the miraculous creative power of the Inner World.

20. This is the secret of strength, the secret of mastery. “To overcome” does not mean to do without things. Self-denial is not success. We cannot give without receiving; can't help without being strong. The Infinite is not bankrupt, and we, the representatives of the Infinite Power, should not be bankrupt either, and if we want to serve others, we must have power, and more power, but in order to receive it, we must give it. So we have to serve.

21. The more we give, the more we receive; we must become a channel through which the Universal can operate. The Universal is constantly trying to express itself, to be useful and is looking for a channel through which it can develop maximum activity, through which it can do the most good, through which it can bring the most benefit to humanity.

22. The Universal cannot express itself through you while you are busy with your plans, your own goals. Calm the senses, seek inspiration, focus the mental activity within, live in the consciousness of your oneness with the Omnipotence. Consider the many possibilities that you have spiritual access to through the Omnipresence of Power.

23. Visualize the events, circumstances, and states that these spiritual connections can help you manifest. Be aware of the fact that the essence and soul of everything is spiritual and that the spiritual is real, because it is the very life of everything that exists. When there is no spirit, there is no life - it ceases to exist.

24. This mental activity belongs to the inner world, the world of causes; the states and circumstances resulting from it are the consequences. This is how you become creators. This is important work, and the higher, finer, larger and nobler the ideals that you can imagine, the more important it is.

25. Any excessive work, excessive play, excessive physical activity leads to a state of mental lethargy and stagnation, and then it is impossible to continue to do important work using conscious force. Therefore, we should turn to Silence more often. Strength comes in stillness; it is in Silence that we can be motionless; when we are still we can think, and thought is the secret of any achievement.

26. Thought is a kind of movement; it is carried by the Law of Vibration just like light and electricity. Revitalize her emotions according to the Law of Love; it takes form and expression according to the Law of Growth; it is a product of the spiritual "I", therefore, its nature is Divine, spiritual and creative.

27. From this it clearly follows that in order to express strength, abundance, or any other creative purpose, one must call on emotions to help. They give thought a feeling and give it form. How to do it? This is the most important question: how can we evoke in ourselves the faith, the courage, the feeling that will lead to the fulfillment of desire?

28. The answer is: by exercise. The power of the mind is achieved in exactly the same way as the power of the body - by exercise. We think about something for the first time, perhaps with difficulty; we think the same thing again, and this time it's easier; we think over and over; then it becomes a habit of the mind. We keep thinking about the same things; in the end it comes to automatism. We can no longer stop thinking about it; and now we are sure of what we think; there is no longer any doubt about it. We are sure; we know.

AN EXERCISE. Last week I asked you to relax, to release all physical tension. Now I will ask you to free yourself from mental tension. If you have been doing the previous exercise for fifteen to twenty minutes a day as directed, you will no doubt be able to relax physically. And one who cannot consciously quickly and completely relax is not his own master. He did not find freedom; he is still a slave to conditions. But I believe that you have mastered this exercise and are ready to take the next step - to gain freedom of thought. This week, assuming your normal posture, release all tension by completely relaxing, and then mentally “let go” of everything. negative states such as hatred, anger, anxiety, jealousy, envy, sadness, anxiety, and disappointment. You will say that you cannot "let go" of it, but you are wrong! You can do this by mentally deciding to do it using conscious intention and perseverance. Some people can't do it because they let their emotions rule them instead of their intellect. But those who are guided by the intellect will prevail. You won't succeed the first time, but skill comes with practice, and this case is no exception. You should be able to "let go", eliminate, completely destroy these negative, destructive thoughts. After all, they are the seed from which all kinds of states of discord and chaos constantly sprout. Mind in action is thought, and thought is creative.

LESSON 5. CREATIVE MIND

INTRODUCTION By carefully studying this Lesson, you will understand that any imaginable power, or an object, or a fact - the results of the action of the mind. Mind in action is thought, and thought is creative. Now people think in a way that they never thought before. Therefore, our century is creative, and the world awards its highest awards to thinkers. Matter is powerless, passive, inert. Mind is power, energy, strength. Mind gives form to matter and governs it. Every form that matter takes is but an expression of some pre-existing thought. But thought does not perform magical transformations; it obeys the laws of nature; it sets in motion the forces of nature; it releases the energies of nature; it manifests itself in your behavior and your actions; those, in turn, affect your friends and acquaintances, and, as a result, your entire environment. You can generate a thought, and since thoughts are creative, you can create, create for yourself whatever you want.

THESES

1. Our mental life is at least ninety percent subconscious, and therefore those who do not know how to use the power of thought live in a very narrow framework.

2. The subconscious mind can and will solve any of our problems if we manage to direct it. Subconscious processes go on all the time; the only question is whether we should simply be passive recipients of this activity or consciously direct it. Should we see the destination (and the dangers to avoid) - or just go with the flow?

3. We realized that the mind permeates every part of the physical body, and the objective or dominant part of the mind can always direct and influence it.

4. The mind that permeates the body is largely the result of heredity, which, in turn, is simply the result of the impact of all the environments of past generations on sensitive and ever-moving vital forces. Understanding this will allow us to use our power when we find in ourselves the manifestation of undesirable traits of character.

5. We can consciously use all the desirable characteristics that we are endowed with, as well as suppress unwanted ones and prevent them from manifesting.

6. I repeat: this intelligence that permeates our physical body is the result not only of hereditary predisposition, but also of the home, work and social environment, from which we receive countless thousands of impressions, ideas, prejudices and similar thoughts.

7. Much of this we receive from others in the form of opinions, suggestions and statements. Much is the result of our own thinking, but almost all of these thoughts are accepted by us after a short examination and reflection, and sometimes even without such.

8. The idea seemed plausible, the consciousness perceived it, transferred it to the subconscious, where it was picked up by the Sympathetic System and carried further, building it into our physical body. "And the Word became flesh."

9. This is how we constantly create and recreate ourselves. Today we are the result of our past thinking, and tomorrow we will become what we think today. The Law of Attraction brings us not what we like, and not what we desire, and not what others have, but "our own" - what we, consciously or unconsciously, have created in the process of thinking. Unfortunately, many of us create this unconsciously.

10. If each of us built a house for himself, how carefully we would plan everything! We would study every detail, consider the materials and choose only the best. But how careless we are when it comes to building our Mental Home, which is infinitely more important than any physical dwelling! But everything that can enter our life depends on the material that will be used to build the house of our Thought.

10. What are the features of this material? We have already understood that this is the result of influences accumulated by us in the past and stored in our subconscious Mentality. If it was the effects of fear, anxiety, concern, anxiety; if they were dull, negative, full of doubts, then the material that we create today will be just as negative, musty and rotten and will only give us even more worries and troubles.

11. But if we keep only bold thoughts, if we are optimistic, positive, immediately throw any negative thought into the scrap heap, refusing to even deal with it, what is the result? Then our mental material - best quality; we can create any building material we want; we can use any color we want; we know that its structure is solid, and we have no fear and anxiety about the future.

12. These are the psychological facts; there is nothing secret about them; in fact, they are so clear that everyone can understand them. All you need to do is to do a "mental cleaning", and do it every day, and keep the house clean. If we are to make any progress, mental, moral, and physical purity is essential.

13. When we have finished this mental cleaning, the material that remains will be suitable for creating such ideals and images that we wish to put into practice.

14. A beautiful estate is waiting to be claimed. A vast estate with abundant crops, running water and beautiful forests stretches as far as the eye can see. On it stands a mansion, spacious and bright, with rare paintings, a superbly curated library, costly drapes, and all sorts of comforts and luxuries. All the heir has to do is to accept the inheritance, take possession and use his property. He must use it; he must not let her decline; for use is the condition on which he owns it. To abandon it means to lose the rights to it.

15. On the territory of the mind and spirit, on the territory of practical strength, this estate is yours. You are the heir! You can accept the inheritance, and possess it, and enjoy this rich heritage. Power over circumstances is one of its fruits; health, harmony and prosperity are assets on your balance sheet. It brings you peace and balance. And it costs you only the labor put into studying it and reaping its abundant fruits. It requires no sacrifice other than the loss of your limitations, your dependencies, your weakness. It wraps you in a mantle of self-respect and places a scepter in your hands.

16. To get this estate, three processes are necessary. You must sincerely desire it. You must claim your rights. You must take over.

17. Agree, the conditions are not too burdensome!

18. You are probably familiar with the theory of heredity. Darwin, Huxley, Haeckel, and other naturalists have piled mountains of evidence that heredity is the law that accompanies "progressive creation." As a result of such heredity, a person became upright, developed his motor apparatus, digestive organs, blood circulation, nervous and muscular systems, skeleton, and was able to dispose of a whole range of other physical capabilities. In the realm of mental power inheritance, the facts are even more impressive. All this constitutes what may be called your human heredity.

19. But there is heredity that is not understood by natural scientists. It is deeper and more primary than all their studies. "Divine heredity" is most manifested where they throw up their hands in despair, saying that they cannot explain what they see. 20. Some kind of merciful power made the decision about the original creation. She descended from the Divine into every created being. It gives rise to life, which until now was beyond the power of natural scientists (and will never be able to). Among other forces, she is supreme, unattainable. No human heredity can reach it. No human heredity can be compared with it.

21. This Infinite Life flows through you; she is you. Its gates are only the abilities that make up your consciousness. The secret of the Power is to keep those gates open. Isn't it worth trying?

22. The great truth is that the source of all life and all power is within. People, circumstances, and events can create needs and opportunities, but the insight, resilience, and strength to meet those needs resides within. 23. Avoid fakes! Lay a solid foundation for your consciousness from the forces emanating from the Infinite source, the Universal Mind, the image and likeness of which you are.

24. Those who came into possession of this inheritance are no longer the same people as before. They came into possession of a sense of power that they had not dreamed of until then. They can no longer be timid, weak, indecisive or afraid. They are inextricably linked with Omnipotence. Something awakened in them; they suddenly discovered that they had an amazing hidden ability that they had never known before.

25. This power comes from within, but we cannot receive it without giving it away. Use is the condition on which we own this heritage. Each of us is but a channel through which the Almighty force takes on various forms; if we do not give, the channel is closed and we can no longer receive. This is true on every plane of being, in every field of activity, for all professions. The more we give, the more we receive. An athlete who wants to become strong must use the strength that he has, and the more he gives, the more he receives. A financier who wants to earn money must use what he has, because only by using it, he can get more.

26. A merchant who does not release his goods will soon cease to receive income; a company that does not provide quality services will soon lose customers; a lawyer who does not achieve results will soon lose clients, and so on in everything. Strength depends on the correct use of the strength we already have. What is true in every sphere of activity, in every case of life, is also true for the force from which any force known to man is generated - for the spiritual force. What will be left if the spirit is removed? Nothing.

27. If there is only a spirit, then the ability to demonstrate any power, whether physical, mental or spiritual, should depend on the recognition of this fact.

28. Any possession is the result of a cumulative mindset, or so-called "money consciousness"; it is a magic wand that will allow you to get an idea and formulate plans for you to implement, and the process of implementation will give you as much pleasure as the fact of receiving and achieving.

AN EXERCISE Go to the practice room, sit in the same place, in the same position as before, and mentally choose a place that makes you feel good. Create a complete mental picture of him: see buildings, neighborhoods, trees, friends, all the details and associations, see everything completely. At first, you will find that you are thinking about everything in the world, except for the ideal on which you want to focus. But don't let that discourage you. Persistence will take its toll, but perseverance requires you to exercise every day without missing a beat.

“Relationships and connections do not exist somewhere and sometime, but everywhere and always.” emerson

Charles Enel

Charles F. Perhaps, after all, he was a representative of another breed of American businessmen, less studied by the average Russian. Their European ancestors were pious Christians and went to America precisely so that no one would interfere with their life by faith and conscience. By the end of the 19th century, American Christianity gave rise to a new, but also a purely American worldview - New Thought, or New Thought. New Thought is characterized as a "practical and at the same time spiritual way of life." This is a very vast and quite diverse movement that flourishes to this day, touching, but not mixing, on the one hand, with traditional "religious" spirituality, and on the other hand, with what is now called "New Age" and "esotericism" , and in Enel's time it was called "mysticism" and "occultism". New Thought itself, however, also has many alternative names - "science of success", "practical metaphysics", "creative thinking", "scientific reason", etc. So, Charles Enel was one of those entrepreneurs who believed that all their success was due to the study of the laws of creative thinking and their application in everyday life and in business. Enel practiced the "power of thought" as passionately as he did his companies. Archives show that he was an active participant in a dozen organizations involved in the physical, moral and mental development of man. A thirty-second degree Mason; shriner; a member of: the Athletic Club, the Rosicrucian Society, the London College of Psychotherapy, the American Writers' League, the American Society for Psychical Research ... Finally, he wrote at least five books, one of which, "The Master Key System", had a great influence on further development of the entire New Thought. "Master Key" was created in 1912-1917 as a paid 24-week correspondence course. A master key, as you know, is a key that fits all the locks in the house. The creative thinking system created by Enel was positioned on the market as “the way to solve all problems”. The promotion of this product, of course, was greatly facilitated by the personal example of the author. In a letter to Enel dated April 21, 1919, Napoleon Hill, bestselling author of Think and Grow Rich, admitted: "My present success is largely due to the principles of the Master Key System." Another prominent figure in New Thought, Claude Bristol, in his book The Magic of Faith, quoted the Master Key in paragraphs. They even claim that even today it is actively studied by the millionaires of Silicon Valley. If this is true, it means that the current generation of entrepreneurs and top managers of America understands that money is earned and progress is made not by the exploitation of the united and liquidation of competitors, but by the Power of the Enlightened Mind. This Russian translation was made by the Sofia publishing house according to the Master Key version, published recently - after a break of more than half a century - by the American publisher Anthony Michalsky, an admirer and researcher of the works of Charles Enel. He slightly changed the structure of the material, combining, in particular, the answers with control questions, provided the lessons with headings and wrote the last section - the Master Key System: Questions and Answers. Some additions were also made to the Russian translation - the division of the text of each lesson into "Theses" and "Exercise", and the cover letters were called "Introductions". In the rest, both the spirit and the letter of this wonderful classical work about the possibilities of creative human thought were preserved to the maximum. We, in turn, present almost full version this book, because it is impossible to take anything away from this text, it is so valuable and deep. This is a classic of the literature on visualization, which should be studied by every person engaged in this practice and who wants to better understand what the creative power of thought is and how to use it correctly.
