The formation and development of the Moscow State Academy of Instrument Engineering and Informatics began in 1936. The government of the country decided to organize the Moscow Correspondence Institute of the Metalworking Industry (MZIMP). P.P. Rostovtsev.

In December 1938, 13 departments were created. There were two faculties at the institute: mechanical and energy, which employed 95 teachers, including 7 professors, 60 associate professors, 28 assistants. In December 1939, M.N. was appointed rector of the institute. Protasov.

Since the establishment of the institute, much attention has been paid to research work, the topics of which were mainly formed at the request of the enterprises of the People's Commissariat of Local Industry. The topics covered research and development in the field of machine tools, machine building technology and electrical equipment.

Attack Nazi Germany June 22, 1941 radically changed life and disrupted the activities of the MZIMP. Students who arrived at the session from the periphery urgently returned home, from where they went to the front or were involved in hard work in production.

In October 1941, there was a question about the evacuation of the institute to the east. However, MZIMP turned out to be one of the few metropolitan universities that remained in Moscow throughout the war and worked without interruption. The 1942-43 academic year turned out to be the most difficult for the institute, when the total number of students fell to 412 people.

an important role in the organization of educational and educational and methodical work played by the scientific and methodological bureau created in April 1944 under the leadership of the head of the department of electric drive B.A. Volynsky. At the same time, a library council was organized at the scientific and technical library, chaired by Professor A.P. Eremin. The teaching staff continued to conduct scientific - research work, mainly on orders from enterprises that manufactured military products.

On July 20, 1944, the All-Union Committee for Affairs high school approved the organization of the third faculty at MZIMP - “Hot metal working. In August 1945, measures were already taken to resume the work of the institute in full. At that time, the structure of the Institute included three faculties. At the same time, 15 departments were organized, and Leningrad and Sverdlovsk educational and consulting centers were opened for classes with students who came to the institute after the end of the war to continue their studies.

In October 1947, the Instrument Engineering faculty was organized, and new specialties were opened at a number of faculties. In the middle of 1947-48 school year there were already 37 departments in the institute, and the institute became part-time and evening.

September 27, 1950 Order No. 507 of the Ministry higher education USSR The Moscow Correspondence Institute of the Metal Industry was renamed and received the name of the All-Union Correspondence Machine-Building Institute (VZMI).

In 1954 Professor B.A. Kuzmin. During these years, there were already more than 50 UKPs in VZMI. The evening-correspondence system of education has received approval in various industries of the country. The structure of the Institute continued to be improved. New specialties emerged. In 1955, the specialty "Turbobuilding" was opened. In August 1956, the sixth aviation faculty was organized at VZMI. In September 1959 B.A. Kuzmin goes to work at the USSR Ministry of Higher Education. Associate Professor M.S. is appointed as the rector of VZMI. Shkalikov, who previously worked as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

In May 1962, the RSFSR Ministry of Higher Education appointed Associate Professor N.N. Shevyakov, who at the same time headed the department of automatic machines and automatic lines he created, where one of the first BESM-4 computers in the country was installed. On the basis of this computer, a laboratory of computer technology soon appeared at the department, and then the information and computing center of the institute.

In 1964, the Government of the country adopts a resolution on the further improvement of higher and secondary specialized evening and correspondence education. This resolution greatly helped our university in the development and strengthening of the educational and material base, the creation of laboratories, which contributed to raising the level of educational, methodological and research work.

In the 70s, the material base of VZMI had been significantly strengthened by this time. In addition to new buildings, modern laboratories departments of metal science, chemistry, new materials, electrical engineering, precision mechanics devices, etc. One of the largest university computer centers has been created.

In August 1985, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Boris Mikhailovich Mikhailov was appointed rector of VZMI. New specialties are opening up. By Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 337 of March 14, 1988 and Order of the Ministry of Higher Education of the RSFSR No. 230 of April 21, 1988, the All-Union Correspondence Machine-Building Institute was transformed into the Moscow Institute of Instrument Engineering with day and evening forms of education.

Taking into account the need of industrial and artistic enterprises of Russia for specialists-technologists in the artistic processing of materials and materials science, the Institute initiated the opening of the specialty "Technology of artistic processing of materials", which was introduced into the list of specialties of universities, and MIP was an educational and scientific center that united artistic schools, institutes and enterprises.

Since the beginning of the 90s, the institute began training foreign students. A faculty for work with foreign students was formed, the dean of which was M.A. Kukin.

On July 1, 1994, by order of the State Committee for Higher Education of the Russian Federation No. 647, the institute became known as the Moscow State Academy of Instrument Engineering and Informatics (MGAPI). In November 1996, in accordance with the law Russian Federation"On Education" at the academy for the first time the elections of the rector took place. The staff of the Academy elected Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor B.M. Mikhailov, who worked as the head of the department of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Renaming

From 1936 to 1950, the university was called the Moscow Correspondence Institute of the Metalworking Industry, abbreviated as MZIMP. Further, until 1988, he was the All-Union Correspondence Machine-Building Institute, that is, VZMI. In 1988 it was renamed the Moscow Institute of Instrument Engineering, and in 1994 it became known as the Moscow State Academy Instrumentation and Informatics (MGAPI).

Since 2005, this is Instrument Engineering and Informatics (MGUPI), which in 2014 was merged with MSTU MIREA, and therefore the full name of the university began to sound different: Moscow State University of Information Technologies, Radio Engineering and Electronics, in short - MGUITRE. With any of these names, MGUPI received simply wonderful reviews about the quality of graduates, structural changes did not affect the level of education.

About the university

MGUPI is now a leader in the training of specialists in science-intensive industries: automation, telecommunications, cybernetics, computer and information technology, electronics, radio engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, and so on. A rather rare training system has been implemented here, which not only ensures the high efficiency of the knowledge gained, but also guarantees the rapid adaptation of graduates in the real conditions of modern production. This system allows you to link the base department of the university and a specific base enterprise.

There are significantly more than fifty such departments in MGUPI today - at the Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, at design bureaus, at the most high-tech enterprises in the country. When deep general scientific theoretical training is combined with practical activities with the help of large industry-forming enterprises of an innovative type using advanced technologies, the training of graduates will be effective and of high quality. The university also has a developed network of scientific laboratories, research centers, design bureaus. Therefore, MGUPI receives only the most positive reviews about graduates.

teachers

Here students study in unique conditions: they are taught by more than twenty academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and members of others, including international ones, learned societies and academies - over two hundred and eighty. The most famous scientific schools which are recognized all over the world, the achievements of MGUPI scientists have become the basis of partnerships with industrial associations, scientific centers and universities in Japan, China, Finland, Singapore, Korea, France, Germany and many other countries.

In the structure of the university there is an institute of international education, where more than five hundred foreign students from thirty countries are being trained at the same time, exchanges of scientific and teaching staff, mutual internships, academic student exchanges, double diploma programs have become a tradition. Strong faculty, modern material and technical base, active scientific activity and broad international relations - this is today's MGUPI. Moscow is proud of this university.

The level of education

The range of educational services is very wide and suitable for absolutely any category - it is interesting here for both schoolchildren and mature specialists, scientists and teachers. Pre-university training at MGUPI is very well developed. Selection committee works actively, in particular, career guidance work is also being carried out. The university operates a physics and mathematics school, which contains more than twenty branches - sponsored schools of the region, as well as preparatory courses.

Students are trained at all levels - from undergraduate to postgraduate studies, inclusive, according to federal law about education, which MGUPI also adheres to. The admissions committee, located on the university campus, informs applicants in detail about the features of admission, including target set, providing a list of customer enterprises. There you can get answers to all questions and apply.

steps

Further, if admission to the university has taken place, each student is waiting for the first levels of higher education - a specialist or a bachelor's degree. The latter is designed for the formation of practical professional skills, coupled with fundamental training of the widest profile. The specialty, on the other hand, has a narrower profile in training and a specific one. Students study from four to five and a half years and receive either a bachelor's degree or a specialist's qualification.

Bachelors can continue their education in the magistracy, and after the completion of the specialty there is also a chance to go straight to graduate school. The second level of education is a two-year master's program, after which there is an opportunity to enter the third, postgraduate study, where you have to study for another three or four years (depending on the specialty). After defending the dissertation, the graduate student receives degree. It is this educational chain that is practiced at MGUPI.

Cost of education

Freshmen enrolled in a specialty or bachelor's degree full-time those who did not pass for state-funded training must pay for training from their own funds. By the way, in MGUPI / MIREA there are quite a few budget places annually, but the competition for paid education is not getting smaller - the authority of this university is too high.

Depending on the direction of training, the student is obliged to pay for the annual education the amount of ninety-eight or one hundred and eighteen thousand rubles. So, for example, training in the specialty "Mechanical Engineering" or "Innovation" is the first amount, and in "Software Engineering" or "Instrument Engineering" - the second.

Where to study

MGUPI campuses have more than one address, since they are located in different parts of Moscow. There is an extensive complex of buildings on Prospekt Vernadsky and an even larger one on Stromynka, also on Malaya Pirogovskaya, on Prospekt Mira, on Sokolina Gora, on Usacheva Street and in Shchipkovsky Lane. The complex on Vernadsky has twenty-three auditoriums for lectures up to two hundred and fifty seats each, sixty auditoriums for group lessons up to thirty places, four hundred and fifty five computer classes, one hundred and forty seven specialized laboratories. In addition, there are also basic departments for the practice of undergraduates. All complexes of educational buildings are connected to the Internet, there is a free Wi-Fi zone.

Library

A separate building of the library has an area of about five thousand square meters. square meters, which houses a fund of about one and a half million copies of books on the profile of the university and related disciplines, all kinds of scientific and technical publications and documents. There are six reading rooms by industry, in addition, remote access to any full-text document from anywhere is provided. Since MGUPI campuses have different addresses, class schedules are drawn up so that students during school day There were no out-of-town trips.

Where to rest

The university has an excellent sports complex, where compulsory physical education classes are held and there are conditions for independent individual or mass training seven days a week from morning to late evening. There are three halls for volleyball, tennis, basketball, mini-football, a gym and an aerobics hall, as well as many outdoor sports grounds.

On the territory of the complex there is a large dining room, many buffets and cafes, kiosks, vending machines. The dining room is open all day, the menu includes breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Buffets are available in all educational buildings and hostels. There are also medical centers for students and employees. There is a club with a concert hall, modernly equipped with all kinds of equipment, where groups gather: a student theater, art, dance, sound recording and a guitar studio. All rooms are specially equipped.

Branches

MGUPI has several branches in the Moscow region and one in the south of Russia. From Fryazino, Serpukhov and the Sergiev Posad branch, it is enough to simply keep in touch with the head university, which is instrument making and computer science. Stavropol is located far away, and the branch opened in this city has all the features of independence.

It is slightly larger than the branches near Moscow, has no less excellent teachers and is the pride of Stavropol Territory. The branch not only occupies the top rankings of local universities, but also actively participates in all regional and city events. At high level professional higher education, which is provided by the branch of MGUPI, reviews about it will certainly be positive.
