Eurasia training center. Eurasia. Additional information provided by the school

Hello, this summer I went with Eurasia to China to study for a month. From July 16 to August 12, 2017. My impressions of the trip are very different… I'll tell you everything in order.
Before going to China with this organization, I read reviews, spoke with parents of children who had previously traveled the same way. The feedback was wonderful, from training to accommodation. Then I decided to rely on Eurasia, which I regretted very much ...
Let's start with the good. The school we went to was really great! Wonderful teachers, friendly and helpful people who know their stuff. Highly good textbooks and teaching methods. The lessons were on English language. Naturally, not all of our group knew English, and then difficulties arose, because it took about 40 minutes from the lesson for me to translate what the teacher says. And I was not hired to work as a free translator in Eurasia.
Now, as for the guide and escort. The contract was written about the provision of escort during the flight. With me in the group flew 2 children, 14 and 15 years old. The fact that there would be no escort in Eurasia was reported only when the entire trip had already been paid for and nothing could be canceled. But this is perhaps the smallest omission of Eurasia compared to everything else.
Our guide was a 21-year-old girl who had never been to this city, who did not know anything about its sights, where they are located, and hardly spoke Russian. She was guided by the navigator on her phone, which often showed the way to nowhere. Of course, she paid us the way back out of her own pocket, but the money was not important for me, what mattered was the time that we spent hours riding the bus back and forth ... Our guide could not tell anything about the sights, everything ended with the phrase: “I don’t I know the hotel has WiFi, we will come and see.” It is very interesting for what money was paid to this guide. At the same time, this girl sometimes refused to go see the sights with us, she said she didn’t want to anymore, she was tired. A very "competent employee", you can't say otherwise.
And now I will tell you about our housing.
There were four of us, including our guide. We lived under a roof, with ceilings one and a half to two meters high, without a closet, without a table, without a chair, fortunately there was a toilet and a shower in which water did not flow, which we were accused of. The room was cleaned every 3 days, it was difficult to call it cleaning, since all this was done with a dry mop. Now imagine that the four of us lived there. I had to ask for a rag and wash everything myself. Well, okay, let's move on to organizing and compiling our tour plan. Usually after class we went to a museum or a temple. It often turned out that we walked around the museum in 30 minutes, since there was nothing in it besides the temple. Thus, we were left to our own devices all day, and our guide did not know where else to go and left for the hotel. Like this…
To be honest, the organization of the trip is 0 out of 10. There is no trust in Eurasia at all. The authorities refused to make contact, saying that they would solve problems only through our leader - a 21-year-old girl who does not know Russian.
Dear parents, think before sending your children abroad with this organization! The safety of your children is zero.

Pros at work

I have long wanted to write a review about the school, but never got around to it.

So: The Language Center "EurAsia" is located on Podsosensky Lane, next to the Kurskaya / Chkalovskaya metro station. In walking distance, somewhere 5-7 minutes. Parking is available. The center also has several branches - offices at three points in Moscow (Oktyabrskaya, Krasnopresnenskaya and, it seems, Prospekt Mira now.) It has been on the education market for more than 10 years, positioning itself as a center for learning all kinds of languages. The bias to the east and west direction as the main advantage.

Disclaimer: I have no resentment / anger at the center and the leadership as a whole. I do not pretend to anything, since my own has already been received. And forgotten. Having worked in the center for quite a decent time, I want to highlight the pros and cons.

So let's start with the positives.

Teachers.
As a school, this institution really deserves attention - after working together with teachers for some time, we can safely say that all of them are unrealistic fellows. In my practice, indeed, they pulled from a zero level to a primitive one in just a few months. Every teacher in the center gives 100%. It was a pleasure to deal with them. So, if you want to learn any language your heart desires, then, as they say, "yu ar welcome." Students who complete the course are given letters and memorable gifts branded from the language center.

Trips.
From trips there are only positive reviews, everything that is written in the comments below or in general on the open spaces of the network. All this is the real truth. (Although the bitter truth does not surprise anyone that most of the reviews are custom-made). Interesting program at any time of the year, relatively low cost of travel with the possibility of accompanying and studying foreign language than in travel agencies.

Events.
Students willingly sign up for master classes, holidays, festivals. Actively participate in activities. A photo-video report is being made, there is content in in social networks- in this regard, everything is captured.

Equipment and plushies.
There is free tea, a cooler, a paid coffee machine. Two toilet rooms. Magazine rack - if you come early, you can occupy yourself with reading. Charging point for gadgets. Selling foreign goodies, decorating the center for the theme of the upcoming holiday, running contests and painting the board according to the theme - that's cool, yes. It is really interesting and attractive. The center's awards and letters of thanks from various top companies hang on the walls. TV comes to the center from time to time, which already speaks about the level. All classrooms have computers and laptops for teachers.

Negative sides

But each hut has its own rattles. Minuses.

Location.
Personally, I was confused by the fact that the office is located in the basement. There is practically no light coming through the windows in daylight. In itself, the location in the basement is not the best the best place for the language center. Mini-branches, on the other hand, are located in business centers, where conditions, in my opinion, are much better than in the basement. Constant stuffiness, the stink of sewerage, even in the presence of aromatic diffusers.

Equipment.
Repairs have been made, but for the price that students are offered to study, it would be possible to purchase normal tables and chairs, and not school desks. In many other competing centers, first of all, in addition to knowledge, they pay attention to comfort. This is so, note to the center. I, if viewed as a consumer, would not be comfortable sitting on wooden school chairs for one and a half to two hours.

Employees
The administrative staff at the language center is not appreciated. This is evidenced by the frenzied turnover among administrators-managers. A month or two later and a new face. You can't remember everyone. You can't work with everyone. Responsibility and obligations for a meager salary - a wagon and a small cart. Of course, this is not surprising now, in many places this happens, but I strongly do not recommend working here as an administrative staff. A teacher, maybe. But as a manager or administrator, it is better to look for another place.

Language centre"Eurasia" is the first and only center in Moscow for the study of Western and Eastern languages, as well as the culture of the East, established more than 10 years ago.

How to get there:

Move as shown on the map from metro station Oktyabrskaya (15 minutes on foot) or from metro station Shabolovskaya (5 minutes on foot). The building has two entrances/exits. 1 from st. M. Kaluzhskaya. Checkpoint opening hours: Mon-Fri 9:00-21:00. See drawing. 2 from the side of Leninsky Prospekt, entrance No. 1. Opening hours: around the clock. See figure. Parking: on the street. M.
