These bows can be made in a variety of colors and sizes. This will fit perfectly into any style, whether it is strict, consisting of just such bows, or a cheerful children's one, where bows are a fun addition to a great variety of New Year's toys.

A very big "plus" of such ribbon bows for the Christmas tree is that they are very quickly made! In any hour you can make a dozen of these decorations!

Why so many bows? Well, firstly, your Christmas tree can only be decorated with ribbon bows, secondly, with the help of such bows you can arrange any New Year's wish rolled up in a scroll and inserted into a festive bright bow, and thirdly, New Year's costumes, a table and a room can be also decorate with fun bows! However, depending on the application, adjust the size of the bow itself!

Let's start our master class as soon as possible and you will learn all the stages of creating such a Christmas tree decoration.

Prepare and put in front of you:

  • Sharp scissors;
  • Bright ribbon 5 cm wide;
  • Ribbon 2.5 cm wide;
  • Thin ribbon only 0.5 cm wide;
  • Needle and thread to match the ribbons;
  • Ordinary lighter.

  • A segment from the widest tape (5 cm) long 15 cm - 4 pieces;
  • Pieces from a medium-sized tape (2.5 cm) 15 cm long - 5 pieces;

We select four ribbons of each width, carefully place a narrow ribbon on a wide one, and align it strictly in the center!

And now we are faced with a very important task: to ensure a tight fastening of two ribbons superimposed one on top of the other and take measures to avoid loosening of the ribbon sections! An ordinary lighter will help us with this! Thanks to her intervention, with a slight movement of the hand, we will kill two birds with one stone - we will get rid of loosening and “fuse” the tapes together!

This is done as follows: we bring a lit lighter to the edges of the ribbons and move it up and down - the edges begin to melt and burn (we don’t let it burn, we blow it out). We should get an even fused cut:

We bend our tape blanks in half. It's time to put all the details of our bow together.

As you remember, we still have one more piece of tape, 2.5 cm wide, left unused. Its time has come. We put this segment in front of us, visually outline its middle and sew along this line with the already familiar overcast seam:

And now we remember about another thin ribbon! With this ribbon. With a width of only 0.5 cm, we will carefully tie a bow in the center, decorate the middle, tie a loop - BOW ON THE TREE handmade, completely finished!

Think. That your collection will not be limited to one bow, and the included fantasy will work with a vengeance, especially when it sees the result of its work:

Fantasize, dare, be creative… luck is on your side!

Do you like original, unusual and beautiful things? In anticipation New Year holidays I want to transform my house, decorate it, make it especially magical and cozy. This will help you with various products for decor, created by yourself.

Perhaps the most popular New Year's decor item is the Christmas ball. But why buy a toy in the store that will decorate every second house when you can make a truly original craft with your own hands. To do this, it is absolutely not necessary to buy half of the materials in needlework shops, the simplest things that are in every home will be enough. In this article, we propose to make a very beautiful Christmas ball for home decoration from threads.

DIY Christmas ball made of threads and beads

One of the undoubted advantages of such a New Year's ball will be that it is you who choose the color scheme, sizes and all sorts of nice decorative things like ribbons, beads or laces. Your creation will fit perfectly into the interior of the house, in its general style and color scheme. This master class offers the idea of creating a ball of thread, and your imagination and inspiration will be able to make something completely original and unique.

You will need:

  • Threads (cotton is best). In this master class, they are white, but you can choose absolutely anyone. Threads like "Iris" will do.
  • PVA glue or wallpaper paste. These types become transparent when dried and will not change the original color of the threads.
  • Balloon.
  • Needle and thread for sewing.
  • A needle with a large eye for the threads with which we will make a ball.
  • White satin ribbon approximately 7mm wide.
  • Silver brocade ribbon approx. 10 mm wide (light and dark shades).
  • Twisted silver ribbon.
  • Decorative silver cord.
  • Scissors.
  • Lighter or candle.
  • Hot glue and glue gun.
  • A plastic cup.
  • Small pearls. Their opening should freely pass a decorative lace.

First of all, we inflate the balloon. The optimal diameter for decor is from 7 to 12 cm. In such crafts, the texture and decorative elements are perfectly visible, and at the same time they are quite light and do not look bulky. But, of course, the size of the ball is a matter of personal taste.

The inflated balloon must be tightly tied so that in the process of creating crafts, air does not escape from it.

Now you need to pour glue into a glass. For these purposes, it is better to use PVA, besides, it is in almost every home. Now we take the threads from which we plan to make a ball. We insert one end into the needle and, without cutting the thread from the rest of the hank, we pierce the glass with the needle so that the thread is in the glue. We stretch the thread through the glue in the cup and wind it around the ball, after removing the needle. We evenly wind the layers of thread around the perimeter of the balloon.

When the winding is tight enough, leave the ball to dry. To do this, it can be hung on a rope using a clothespin by the tail. To be sure, you can cover the ball with another layer of glue before that.

While the ball dries, we begin to create a bow.

To do this, cut off pieces of about 7 cm in length from white satin and silver brocade ribbons. At the ends we make triangular cutouts. The edges can be melted over the fire or glued so as not to fluff. You need 3 white and two silvery dark blanks.

Fold each one in half lengthwise. Now you need to collect them in one pile, alternating white and silver segments. In the middle we sew them with a needle and thread to match. After a few stitches, it is necessary to wrap with several turns, as in the photo.

The first part of the bow is ready.

We cut off about 13 cm from a light gray ribbon. It must be rolled up with a loop, as in the photo.

In order to make a bow, we lower this loop to the crosshairs of the ends of the ribbon.

It remains only to drag the structure in the middle, and we will get a beautiful bow.

You can attach a pearl to one of its loops. The second part of the bow is ready.

To create the third part of the bow, you will need an ordinary table fork. We take a twisted silver ribbon and thread it through the tines of the fork several times in different directions. It turns out several zigzag rows.

With a twisted silver decorative cord we drag these rows in the center. We tie it tightly and get the third part of the bow.

We take it off the fork. The ends of the ribbon and lace should be long enough. We string 3-4 pearl beads on both tails of the lace. We tie knots at the ends, this will not allow the beads to come off.

We start assembling the bow. We will fasten the parts with hot glue. Using a thermo gun allows you to apply glue pointwise and dosed. On the first part (the most fluffy) we glue the second on top, and the third on top of it. Here's what happens.

By this time, our blank with threads has already dried. Carefully untie and release the air from the balloon. We take it out and the holes. Now we begin to glue small pearl beads in random order over the entire surface of the ball. We use hot glue.

When everything is dry, we make a loop of a light silver ribbon and glue it to our workpiece. The tail can be placed inside the ball.

The final touch is to glue our beautiful bow. Now it remains to wait until the glue dries, and you can decorate a Christmas tree or a house with our ball of thread.

Advice! To create balls of thread, not only glue can be used as a fastening agent. Starch paste or sugar syrup is perfect for this.

To create a paste, you need to take:

  • 3 teaspoons starch.
  • 200 ml cold water.

The ingredients must be thoroughly mixed, put on fire and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

To prevent the threads from sticking to the surface of the ball, it can be lubricated with petroleum jelly or oil.
