Please accept my sincere condolences to the family of Nikolai Pavlovich and all the employees of the Geological Institute. A remarkable man, a talented organizer and a great mineralogist, has died. Nikolai Pavlovich created an amazing school of scientific thought, his work continues and will be continued by his students.

7 years ago my brother passed away.
Often remembering this, only now I realized that simple words - "I love you" - are so meaningful.
How much is not said to the brother. That I love him, that he is dear to me. I couldn't imagine that it wouldn't be...
when on December 31, the doctor said that he had a few hours left to live, I DID NOT BELIEVE!
I did not believe that there would be no more fun and noisy birthdays; his friends at our house. That my brother's room will be mine. And he won't.
On that New Year's Eve, he was in intensive care under a drip. And we set the table, put a plate for him and laid clean linen in his bed - we sat silently. But we knew that HE was with us.
In the New Year, he lived only 3 hours with a little. At 3 hours 50 minutes - his life was cut short ... There was a sea of tears.
Time passed. For these 7 years that he is not with us. I often saw him in my dreams. That he got married, bought a car and that he had a son. Probably, I would really like this, but .. Now I often tell my parents that I love them. After all, even though we (children) have already grown up, for parents we are still the same children, no matter how old we are.
Here's another oddity:
When I was 6 years old. Playing in the yard with my girlfriends in the summer. I found a new, unburned vochka candle. In the form of a dragon figure, red. And it was the red dragon (2000, the year of the red, fiery dragon) that took his brother. Analyzing this, I think it's just a coincidence. Or maybe not? Maybe candles, wax have some kind of power? I do not know. I don't believe in all this. But a fact is a fact. Too bad there's nothing to fix. And the brother will not be returned, and childhood will not come. I kick myself for this. But who knew that this would happen 13 years later. I still love him even though he's gone. After all, they say: "A man lives as long as he is remembered." So, BROTHER will live - as long as I'm alive. Because he will always be remembered.

Tell your family and friends more often that you love them, that they are dear to you. Especially the elderly. They so want to be needed. Once again call friends who have their own families and their own worries. After all, there is a lot to say and it must be done at the right time.
No wonder there are words: "What we have, we do not appreciate, but when we lose it, we cry." Indeed, often, having learned that a person is gone .. We immediately say how significant and good he was. Better yet, do it while we're here. On the ground.
God bless you all!

Lena, how I know all this! I lost, first, my dad, then two sisters, one after another, went to another world, very young, but recently, I buried my mother ...
It happens... Well, you can blame yourself for not doing something for them. I could, but I didn't. Or for doing something wrong.
I am familiar with this. I probably also gave them a little love ...
So it seems to me now. And I will regret it for the rest of my days.
Yes, you need to love and give love for free. To your loved ones, relatives...
To my children...
Everything will come back.
How about a wax candle? Simple coincidence. There is no mysticism. Everything is explainable.
Warmly, Tatyana
:)))

It is very hard when you lose loved ones, especially parents. Take heart. Strength and health to you, Tatyana.
Thanks for reassuring me about the candles. It tormented me.
All the best. Lena

The greatest grief for people is the death of a loved one. Probably everyone is wondering - how to survive the death of a loved one? In Christianity, there is such a thing as humility. For a person, this is a necessary experience for further development. Everything that happens in life has meaning. It is necessary to try to think for what such a test was prepared.

Researchers believe that death is not accidental, but prepared by a person's whole life. And a person leaves when he is ready for it. Maybe these thoughts will help in such a difficult question - how to survive death, because death is something that cannot be changed. You have to accept it. However, accepting and letting go are not the same thing. These two things must go together. To worry means they will allow you to splash out your emotions. You don't have to suppress them.

Often people feel guilty for what happened. In fact, this is just a manifestation of the desire to control everything around. And the stronger this desire, the stronger the feeling of guilt.

Relatives and friends should support in such a difficult period for a person. Everyone has such a period in different ways - from two months to two years. And this period is divided into stages.

The first stage is shock. The person cannot believe what happened, denies it. In this state, you can not leave a person alone, you need to give him a sedative. There is no need to rush the funeral process, take the person away from the coffin, because this is the last opportunity to look at your loved one. The next stage is reaction. The person is filled with rage and anger. He doesn't understand why this is happening to him. At this stage, a person asks the question: how to survive the death of a loved one? But gradually everything calms down and the third stage begins - removal. Everything gradually remains in the past. And the person returns to a new life.

You should not judge a person who, at a funeral or in the first days after a loss, does not shed tears. This is an individual reaction. And not everyone realizes it right away. Everyone has the right to experience death in their own way.

Some people just need the help of a psychologist, and loved ones should take care of it. In modern society, people try to avoid a person who has lost a loved one, because they don’t know how to console, what to talk about, so as not to injure even more, so the help of a specialist is simply necessary. He will answer the question: how to survive death?

Mourning is a little easier if they were ready for death, for example, the deceased was very ill before that, and the outcome of the disease was known. The most difficult thing is to survive unexpected deaths. The care of the elderly is a little easier, the death of children is very difficult.

The most difficult thing is probably how to tell a child about the death of a parent. The main thing is to tell the truth and do it on time. The child already understands that grief has happened, but they do not tell him, and hope is still glimmering. If the child is told too late about this, then all stages of mourning pass later, while all their relatives have already passed. Moreover, the child may also have resentment against relatives for the fact that they deceived him. If the child is faced with death for the first time, he will ask questions about how to survive death, about the funeral ritual. And it is necessary to respond to his questions and answer honestly.

For many, there is also such a question: how to survive the death of a pet? Some hosts go through all stages of mourning. The death of an animal is especially painful if the owners themselves have decided that it should be euthanized. It is necessary to perceive it in such a way that such a decision was made in order to save the animal from torment.

Misfortune with the born child

For every woman, nine months of pregnancy is a time full of tenderness and happiness, so the thought that a baby can be lost is unbearable.

The condition of a woman who has experienced a miscarriage cannot be described in a few words. She is in great grief. I do not want to do anything: neither eat nor sleep. There is only a sense of detachment from the real world. Feelings of guilt overwhelm the woman. It seems that this grief will never recover.

How to survive a miscarriage?

Recovering from such an event is a very difficult task. You will have to learn to live again. In the first hours after the incident, a woman may be in a daze, not respond to anyone, or, conversely, be hysterical. During such a period, it is worth limiting your social life, especially as little as possible to communicate with happy mothers. Then a woman can be overcome by depression, guilt. During this period, almost everyone has loss of appetite, insomnia, exhaustion, weakness. This is all a normal reaction, no matter how strange it may sound. During such a period, it is important to talk about your grief to as many people as possible who are ready to listen. It is important not to be afraid to show your emotions. No need to reject help not from relatives. Let it be colleagues, friends. They try to help you get through the miscarriage. the best help can be provided by those who have experienced such a situation. You can ask them for advice on how to survive a miscarriage. Hear how they dealt with their grief.

Often a woman asks herself why this grief is for her, is it a punishment. Bad things happen to everyone. Nobody is immune from this. Therefore, in what happened, a woman should in no case blame herself. What happened happened.

You have to believe that grief has an end. You have to try to deal with your feelings. If a woman has a question - how to live on? - means that she accepts a new life. And you need to help yourself with this.

Psychologist Bob Date advises writing on several sheets of paper something like the following statements: my grief will end, I am doing well, etc. One sheet should be attached to the mirror in the bathroom, the other to the refrigerator, the third to put on the nightstand near the bed, the fourth - into a handbag. Every time the eye falls on these leaves, you need to read what is written aloud until you remember it.

The next step is taking care of your health. You need to remember what condition it was before the miscarriage. If necessary, visit specialists, take tests, and then follow the doctor's prescription. Sometimes the main reason for the loss of a child is the inability of a woman to bear a baby. Therefore, a doctor's consultation is mandatory. You should also watch your diet. The food needs to be of good quality and variety. Be sure to set a time for eating. You need to drink more fluids to avoid dehydration. You also need to watch your weight. If there are sudden changes, you should immediately consult a doctor. In no case should you abuse coffee and alcohol. It is better to take multivitamin complexes.

The daily routine should be normal. Even if you do not feel like sleeping, you need to go to bed at the usual time. Sleeping pills should not be taken in large quantities.

You can start keeping a diary, where to enter important events that occurred during the day; changes in your condition; plans, etc.

Almost all women who have suffered losses become mothers of wonderful babies. It just takes time.

The most difficult test for us in life is the death of a loved one. It is very difficult to help a suffering person survive the grief that has happened. People react differently to such a shock.

All experiences caused by loss, when they are extremely difficult or seem unacceptable and scary to us, are natural forms of expression of grief. They need an understanding of the people around them. The manifestations of grief must be treated extremely sensitively and with great patience.

Psychologists distinguish five stages of the passage of grief, although it should be understood that such a demarcation is conditional. Let's consider them in more detail.

state of shock

Initially, the death of a loved one, and especially if it is sudden, the bereaved reacts with a state of shock. It can be compared to a strong deafening blow. This stage is called denial, shock. A person who has suffered a loss does not accept the loss, falls into a stupor, which is periodically replaced by excitement or activity.

Anger and resentment

At this stage, a person experiences resentment, as well as anger. He is aware of the fact of loss, and he extremely acutely feels the absence of a loved one who has died. He is tormented by the question of the cause of what happened. He is looking for reasons and wonders why it was not possible to save the deceased relative. A grieving person does not expect anyone to answer them. He just expresses his pain in such a peculiar way.

Guilt

The most common situation is when a person who has suffered a loss blames himself for not being able to protect and save a loved one. At this stage, he realizes that he is not able to control the events in life. Experiencing the loss, he understands his helplessness. Usually the self-accusation of a grieving person is not true.

Often the feeling of guilt takes on a chronic form, which Kyiv psychologists, who have extensive experience working with such pathologies, will help to overcome.

Depression

The person falls into depression, sometimes deep. At this stage, his suffering and pain reach their peak. This is the state of maximum pain of the soul that a suffering person can feel physically. Remembering the deceased loved one, their past life, as well as the circumstances of death, the person who survived the loss often cries. Feelings of both self-pity and loneliness are also a reason for the appearance of tears. Suffering people who do not reveal their feelings in crying hide their grief deep inside, which finds its expression in depressive states.

Acceptance and reconciliation

Acceptance of loss is the final stage of grief. No matter how long and heavy grief is, a person still perceives it emotionally. He lets go of the past, ceases to live with it, and the opportunity to fully live in the reality that surrounds him returns to him, and he begins to look to the future with hope.

The ongoing changes naturally do not mean the oblivion of the deceased person. Intense grief is replaced by severe sadness, which eventually turns into light and bright sadness. Many, remembering their dead relatives, draw strength, and find support in the memory of their relatives.

Having come to terms with the loss, a person comes to terms with himself, with his past. The events that have taken place change his attitude towards the present, as well as the future life. The real acceptance of loss is manifested not just in the return of a person to life, but in changing him internally, moving to another, possibly higher level and starting another, new life.

A person, unfortunately, is not eternal - and even the best, most beloved people leave us sooner or later ... It is difficult to survive, the bitterness of loss for a while overshadows everything in the world for us - but, one way or another, life goes on and we need to find the strength to go on. How to do it - let's talk ...
No matter how bad and painful we feel, the process of mourning is necessary for us as a special work of the soul - the work of cleansing, growing up and accepting this world as it is. In order to do this work, we need to go through all the stages of grief to the end, accept it completely and drink this cup to the bottom. If we fail to follow this path correctly, if we get stuck at some points along the way, the process of mourning becomes pathological, and sometimes we cannot do without the help of a psychotherapist.

Where does this path begin?

Our first reaction to the death of a loved one is shock and numbness. “It can’t be” is the first thing that comes to almost everyone’s mind: we don’t want to and even physically “can’t” believe in what happened. Sometimes a person is in so much pain that all his reactions seem to be dulled and outwardly it may even look like indifference: “I didn’t shed a tear.” However, this is usually just a protection of our psyche from too strong emotions that it is not ready to handle. Alas, some do not cope, they fail to go further, and they psychologically “petrify” forever, especially in the event of the loss of beloved people - children, spouses, parents, emotional attachment to which was extremely strong.
The numbness is replaced by the search stage: a person accepts the fact that the deceased is not around, but he does not believe that this is forever. The deceased seems to be chasing the grieving one: on the street it seemed that he passed by, here someone laughed in the same way, something creaked in his room and on the back of the chair - his sweater ... Constantly haunted by the feeling that the one who died, actually located somewhere very close. Sometimes it begins to seem to a person that he is going crazy (and sometimes, alas, this happens in reality), especially if the grief in his life is very strong or simply the first, that is, he has not experienced anything like this before. This phase lasts from 9 to 40 days: believers believe that the soul of the deceased is on earth at this time and says goodbye to everything that was dear.
In the end, a person realizes the reality of loss, and a stage of acute grief sets in, when despair literally “covers” with his head and many frightening feelings and thoughts appear: about the meaninglessness of life, about his own guilt before the deceased, which now cannot be redeemed; about those words that have not been said, and about those promises that have not been fulfilled and can never be fulfilled ... The deceased seems to us better than we thought about him during his lifetime: everything good is remembered, everything bad is forced out of memory - the saying “Oh dead or good, or nothing" was not invented in vain ...
Sometimes at this stage, a grieving person almost completely withdraws into himself, withdraws, moves away from loved ones, sometimes identifies himself in some way with the deceased: he adopts his habits, gait, gestures. There may even be symptoms of diseases that the deceased suffered from: signs of sciatica, hypertension or migraine in a previously perfectly healthy person. Unfortunately, not everyone leaves this phase, remaining mentally forever closer to the deceased than to those who live nearby.

It's hard to go through all this, but it's important:

at the end of this stage, old emotional ties with the deceased are broken and new ones are born. Sooner or later, life gradually returns to its usual track, and the loss of a dear person ceases to be the most important event in life. Grief is now not painfully sharp and relentless, but as if it rolls in a wave in connection with certain events: here comes the first new year without a deceased; now his first birthday has passed - without him; here a document came in the mail in his name or an old acquaintance called from those who knew nothing about death ... Tears roll and a lump rises in the throat, but we are already resigned to the fact that what happened is a given, and that we should live on. The death anniversary is usually the end of this cycle.
The final stage is constructive, it adapts us to reality and reconciles with it. Grief is reborn into remembrance, into bright sadness and sadness for the departed. The person who left us no longer lives in our minds - but his image remains. This stage is extremely important: after all, you can survive all the previous ones, but block your memories and prevent the image of the deceased from entering your current life - then the work of grief will not be completed to the end and relief will not come.
So often in a family where a child has died, parents seem to “cross out” this terrible episode from life, forbidding themselves, relatives, and other children to return to those difficult events. This is a path to self-destruction for all members of such a family, since allowing the images of the departed to be near is very important. How important it is to keep the memory of everyone who was a part of our life, and the joy that these people in our life WAS ...
