Takeover of Aternity
On July 28, 2016, Riverbed Technology announced the acquisition of Aternity, a leading provider of end-user interaction monitoring and application performance monitoring solutions. The acquisition will expand the Riverbed SteelCentral product line for end-to-end visibility into network performance management, applications and the end user experience.
“Aternity is a strategic acquisition for Riverbed. Their innovative end-user experience monitoring offering perfectly complements and enhances our SteelCentral solutions,” commented Jerry M. Kennelly, Riverbed Chairman and CEO. - With the rise of mobile devices, virtual desktops and clouds, the ability to manage the end user experience is becoming more important and challenging for IT departments. With this acquisition, Riverbed and our partners will be uniquely positioned to provide CIOs and organizations with complete visibility into networks, applications, and end users in a single solution.”
Aternity's proven technology helps companies see the entire user experience with every app running on any device, providing a user perspective on app performance. This feature is not found in many of the more focused network or application performance monitoring tools on the market. By transforming every device—physical, virtual, and mobile—into a self-monitoring platform that takes user experience into account, organizations gain end-user proactive IT management that dramatically reduces business disruption and increases employee productivity.
This level of visibility is becoming increasingly important as companies begin to combine public and private clouds to achieve operational agility, accelerate application adoption, and reduce costs. The result is a hybrid IT environment where applications and data are distributed across heterogeneous operating systems, multiple data centers, and cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
"Organizations are increasingly adopting hybrid IT environments to improve performance and reduce infrastructure management costs," said Mike Sargent, senior vice president and general manager, Riverbed SteelCentral Business Unit. By analyzing application and device performance from the user's perspective, Aternity empowers companies to proactively manage their IT environments and boost employee productivity. This important functionality, combined with the capabilities of SteelCentral, will provide companies with the industry's most powerful and complete network performance monitoring solution."
“According to IDC forecasts, the global market for APM and SaaS cloud services in 2016 will be more than $3.1 billion. This growth is driven to a greater extent by digital transformation and the development of mobile, social and web applications, explains Mary Johnston Turner, vice president of the analytical agency IDC. The acquisition of Aternity is a great opportunity for Riverbed, which will allow the company to offer its customers new tools to accelerate business and increase productivity.”
This transaction supports the new direction of Riverbed SteelCentral, which has recently been significantly enhanced in cloud-based application performance monitoring with new features to speed up business processes and increase productivity.
The acquisition of Aternity was expected to be completed in August 2016. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Acquisition of Ocedo
In January 2016, Riverbed acquired Ocedo, which brought to market the application-specific SD-WAN (Software-Defined WAN) solution SteelConnect in April.
SteelCentral is changing the way IT departments work by providing them with network performance management technologies in one solution to help improve application delivery visibility, detect and fix issues before they affect end users and business performance.
2014: Thoma Bravo and Teachers" Private Capital bought Riverbed
In December 214, Riverbed Technology announced the acquisition of Thoma Bravo, a private equity fund, and Teachers' Private Capital, an investment arm of the Ontario Teachers' Retirement Fund. Under the terms of the agreement, Riverbed shareholders will receive $21 per share in cash, for a total of $3, 6 billion. The agreement was unanimously accepted by Riverbed's board of directors after a comprehensive review of strategic and financial alternatives published by the company in October 2014.
Riverbed CEO Jerry Kennelly will remain with the company in the same position. The transaction, which is expected to close in the first half of 2015, must be approved by Riverbed shareholders, approved by regulatory authorities, including antitrust reviews in the US, Germany, and Taiwan, must be reviewed and approved by the US Overseas Investment Committee, and other generally accepted closing conditions must be met. There are no financial restrictions associated with the proposed agreement.
Qatalyst Partners, Goldman and Sachs & Co. act as financial advisors to Riverbed and the professional corporation Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati as legal advisor. Kirkland & Ellis is advising Thoma Bravo on legal matters.
In the spring of 2015, Thoma Bravo private equity fund and Teachers' Private Capital, an investment arm, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Riverbed Technology, a leader in the implementation and support of application performance management infrastructure for approximately $3.5 billion. USA Each of Riverbed's shareholders will receive $21 per share in cash In connection with the closing of the transaction, Riverbed has ceased trading on the NASDAQ under stock symbol RVBD.
Riverbed was financially advised by Qatalyst Partners, Goldman, Sachs & Co. As a legal consultant - professional corporation Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Kirkland & Ellis acted as legal advisor on the transaction for Thoma Bravo, while Barclays, Citigroup, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley acted as financial advisors.

Introduction
eXtream Software Development has written a custom USB audio driver from scratch because Android did not support USB audio until Android 5. Even Android 5 and upward has very limited support for USB audio devices (see below) and as such this driver remains very useful for every Android version higher than 3.1. Next to that, our driver provides low latency, making it possible for example to play virtual instruments in real-time on many devices that cannot do this using the Android driver. The driver supports mono, stereo and multi-channel streams, 16-, 24- and 32-bit resolutions and any sample rate that the device provides. If your device exposes internal mute, volume and/or gain controls, they can be controlled as well.
The following Android apps of eXtream Software Development have this driver embedded. Note that you cannot use this driver to play or record audio in other apps!
Special instructions for Sony devices
Some newer Sony devices like the Z5 need special handling to detect USB devices:
- Connect the DAC to the cable
- Open settings, device connection, USB connectivity, then click the button to detect USB device.
- While it is detecting, plug in the other end of the OTG cable to the phone.
- If your OTG has the optional power in connect it now.
Supported USB audio devices
Your USB audio device must be class-compliant in order to work. USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 class-compliant devices are supported with either USB audio spec 1.0 or 2.0. The following table gives an overview of the devices that either we tested or that have been tested by beta testers. In no way we can be held responsible for a device not working on your specific Android device, since every combination can pose new problems. We have a free demo version where you can test out your device combination before purchase.
Please take note: because there are hundreds of Android and USB audio devices out there, we did not manage to test them all. In case yours does not work and you are using USB Audio Recorder PRO, please use the "feedback" button on top to send us information on your device or contact us by email. When you start recording and you get a message saying "Failed to start recording", it is likely that your device does not supply enough power to your USB audio device if it is not self-powered. You can work around it by putting a powered USB hub in between.

Supported Android devices
In theory, all Android devices that meet the following requirements should work:
- Android 3.1 or higher (no root required!!)
- Device supports USB host mode
If your device does not have a full-sized USB port, you need a USB OTG cable. This is cable with a male micro-USB connector on one side (for connecting to your Android device) and a female full-sized USB port for connecting your USB audio device. Note that it must say "OTG", since that activates the host mode of your Android device.
If your device is not in the working or non-working list, please give us feedback if it works or not.
NOTE: your Android device may need a powered USB hub if it does not supply enough power to an audio device which is not self-powered.

Parameters of the air environment in the circuit of special and clean rooms ( cleanliness class, temperature, humidity, pressure drops, airflow rate) provided with special ventilation and air conditioning systems. Actually, it is precisely the supply of specially prepared air in the required volumes into a closed circuit that is the meaning of clean rooms.
The ventilation and air conditioning service of the TSK-engineering company equips clean rooms with modern air preparation systems that provide normalized air purity, air exchange rate and temperature and humidity conditions, as well as pressure drops to prevent air from entering from uncontrolled rooms and air flow from rooms with different purity classes .
For air conditioning of clean rooms, modern equipment from various manufacturers is offered.
The policy of TSK-engineering in the field of quality assumes the use of only equipment that has a certificate for ventilation and air conditioning systems in clean rooms. EUROVENT.
- Air conditioners, psupply, exhaust and recirculation ventilation units
- installation, piping, start-up, adjustment and commissioning, maintenance
- development of the project and working documentation
Steam humidifiers / dehumidifiers
Heat exchangers, equipment for automation of heat and water supply, pumping equipment
Cold sources (chillers, condensing units) and refrigeration supply systems, heat supply systems for air handling units, heat supply and refrigeration control units (HRT, URH)
Air duct system with flow regulators andpaws
Local suction from equipment and jobs

Smoke extraction system
Rice. 1 Central air conditioner, heat and cold piping
General principles of operation of the air preparation system:
Air conditioners and ventob equipment. The performance of air conditioners and ventilation equipment is selected depending on the class of cleanliness, heat generated, dust and hazards in the production process. Both recirculation and operation with 100% outside air, which is supplied through a three-level filtration system, can be used. Exhaust air is removed from the lower zone of the premises by exhaust systems.
The air entering the clean rooms goes through the following stages of treatment:
- In the air conditioner:
First stage filtration EU 4 (G4)
The heating
Cooling
Moisturizing
The heating
Air supply with variable speed driven fans
Second filtration stage EU 7 (F7)
distribution to rooms using a system of air ducts, valves and adjustable dampers,
- the third stage of filtration with a degree of purification of 99.997% and higher for particles with a size of 0.3 microns. This stage of filtration is carried out by HEPA filters of class H11-H14, located in the air distributors in the false ceiling of the “clean rooms”.
Rice. 2. Air diffusers with HEPA filters in the ceiling of cleanrooms
- Extraction of used air by fans with adjustable speed. The fence is implemented It enters through the exhaust grilles from the lower area of the clean room or through the raised floor.
Rice. 3 Exhaust grilles in the lower area of the clean rooms.
Heating system. Hot water 90/70°C (from the central boiler house) is used for air heating, electric heaters can be used. Zone additional air heating is carried out by electric heaters placed directly in the air ducts.
Refrigeration system. To cool the air, “chilled” water 6/12°C or air-freon cooling (for small rooms) is used. In the absence of a centralized cold water supply system, a refrigeration unit is designed and supplied ( chiller) required performance.
To accommodate the equipment of the air conditioning system, a separate technical room (ventilation chamber) is required in the immediate vicinity of the production site, it also houses distribution cabinets for the instrumentation and control systems, power supply systems.
The equipment is supplied with the necessary automation imported, which can work both independently (the so-called basic automation that regulates the operation of the actual ventilation units), and be integrated into
Humidifiers
Moisture removal plants.
Air duct system includes:
Galvanized air ducts of classes П and Н ("dense" and "normal")
Flexible air ducts
Ceiling recessed diffusers including filters
Exhaust and supply grilles, anemostats
Control valves, fire dampers
Air intake regulators
Silencers
Mounting, gasket and connecting materials, heat-insulating materials
local sucks - local air removal systems from individual workplaces and equipment, as a rule, with an increased level of pollution.
The air conditioning system provides the required atmospheric pressure difference between adjacent rooms and the necessary microclimate in them. The minimum amount of air exchange in individual rooms corresponds to the calculated parameters for the required class of cleanliness, removal of harmful substances and excess heat, for example, the minimum for class ISO 8 is 10-fold air exchange.
The system is expected to operate in economy (standby) mode, which is used at night or on weekends. Provided, if necessary equipment redundancy to ensure continuous operation or emergency replacement when the main equipment stops.
fashionTechnologies of Thought-- technologies (techniques alienated from their inventors that allow reproducing positive results) of intuition processing that allow raising the efficiency of thinking in solving problems.
- TRIZ - the theory of inventive problem solving by G. Altshuller
- Thought processes - the technology of constructing logical trees by E. Goldratt
- SMD-methodology - G.P.
Most thought technologies use the same premise, so it's fairly easy to combine them:
- explicit appeal to the resources of the unconscious mind ("intuition"), i.e. emphasis on a combination of intuitive and logical ways of thinking (as opposed to "purely logical thinking"). Therefore, thought technologies are often used in a state of flow.
- expressing the results in the outside world so that they can be observed by both other people and yourself
- analysis of the initial situation, postulation of the desired situation, search for a contradiction, changing the wording (premises, one's own beliefs) so as to remove the contradiction.

The unique Thinsulate™ synthetic insulation was developed over 30 years ago by 3M.
The main slogan of the new insulation: "warmth without excess volume." This is how the name “Thinsulate” stands for (from the English thin - thin, insulation - warming). Thinsulate™ synthetic insulation is used in the manufacture of outerwear, as insulation for sleeping bags and other types of equipment for outdoor activities and sports.
The structure of the microfibers of Thinsulate insulation was copied from that of down, but they are 10 times thinner than the fibers of other synthetic insulations. And in terms of its properties, Thinsulate insulation has surpassed other synthetic heaters. Because Thinsulate microfibers are so thin, they retain air molecules better and therefore maintain body heat more effectively. And given the thickness of the tank, it means that the density of fibers in Thinsulate insulation is much higher than that of other synthetic insulation. Thinsulate™ insulation provides more warmth and comfort than any other fill.
Features of Thinsulate™ Insulation:
Warmth without excess volume (light weight and small thickness of Thinsulate™ insulation make products non-voluminous and light);
1.5 times warmer than natural down;
Higher breathability compared to down and feather products. The main task of all heaters is the ability to retain air. Thinsulate™ insulation has up to 10 times more air retention than other materials;
Greater thermal insulation effect than other polyester fillers of similar thickness and density;
Maintains the necessary moisture balance;
Environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic material;
Resistant to moisture, perfectly washable;
Due to the three-dimensional bonding of the fibers, it retains its unique properties and shape after many washes;
Has the European environmental certificate Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Care instructions for products with Thinsulate™ insulation:
Machine wash at a water temperature not exceeding 40 ° C, delicate spin and dry.
It is not recommended to store products in a highly compressed state.
It is not recommended to store and dry products near heating devices.
To restore volume after washing, it is recommended to lightly “beat” the product.
For regular drying, it is recommended to turn the product over for more even drying. It is not recommended to hang the product.
Please note that Thinsulate™ insulation does not withstand high temperatures. Ironing with an iron whose sole temperature is more than 40 ° C is prohibited - the microfibers will melt and, as a result, the material will lose its softness and heat-shielding properties. Do not steam products with Thinsulate insulation.
