I can say that the Financial University opens up many opportunities for its students to develop and grow in every sense. Here you will definitely make good contacts, improve your soft skills and learn how to find the necessary information. I will not say that I am completely satisfied with the learning process itself, however, I do not regret enrolling here, since while here I managed to develop myself in many areas.

She completed two levels of education at the best faculty.

During the training the atmosphere was very warm and friendly.

Like most of my classmates, I successfully went abroad for exchange training, where, comparing the training program and knowledge with Europeans, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of my preparation thanks to the university.

She completed an internship at the Ministry and got a job at a leading consulting company.

About Financial University

The Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation is one of the best universities in the country, which graduates not only high-quality financiers and bankers, but also managers, financial analysts, political scientists, economic sociologists and IT specialists for financial and banking institutions.

Financial University in numbers

At the moment, the structure of the Financial University includes 12 different areas of bachelor’s training and 11 master’s areas. At the university, students study 9 programs for obtaining secondary vocational education, 10 programs, after which students receive an MBA diploma, and 108 programs for professional retraining and advanced training.

In 2014, the graduates of specialists with higher education amounted to 19,756 people (bachelor's degree, specialist degree, master's degree, including graduates of correspondence education), with secondary vocational education - about 4,000 people.

The generally recognized quality of university programs is based on the high professional level of the teaching staff; as of January 1, 2015, 1,648 teachers work at the Moscow University Center alone, of which 1,296 have an academic degree: including 368 Doctors of Science and 928 Candidates of Sciences. 872 teachers have an academic title: including 257 professors, 590 associate professors, 25 senior researchers.

In addition, 1,524 teachers work in the branches of higher education and secondary vocational education of the university, including 960 teachers who train in higher education programs, 564 teachers who train specialists in secondary vocational education programs. 878 teachers have an academic degree: including 160 Doctors of Science and 718 Candidates of Sciences. 502 teachers have an academic title: including 98 professors, 399 associate professors, 5 senior researchers.

The scientific unit of the university has 81 employees, 63 of them have an academic degree: including 31 Doctors of Science and 32 Candidates of Sciences. 19 have the academic title of professor, 13 have the academic title of associate professor, 2 have the academic title of senior researcher.

Every year, about 40% of the teachers of the Financial University undergo mandatory advanced training courses. This is done so that teachers, as well as students, constantly hone their knowledge and increase it.

Principles of the educational process at the Financial University

During its existence, the Financial University has been constantly transformed and modernized. And along with the improvement of the university itself, the principles of the educational process were constantly improved and “Bologna” teaching methods were introduced into it:

  • transition to a modular form of education, which allows you to develop an individual training plan for each student;
  • giving lectures not only by the teaching staff of the university, but also by leading specialists from other educational institutions in Russia and abroad;
  • development of a rating system for assessing students, which allows us to understand a clear picture of students’ mastery of a particular discipline;
  • the development of active forms of learning, when students not only write down the solution to a problem in a notebook, but also try to act it out in their faces, which allows them to better understand the material;
  • preparation of electronic textbooks and teaching aids, which are recorded on disks or other digital media, so that later at any time the student can clarify for himself the moment that worries him.

Also, the Financial University began to use a distance learning system, thanks to which students can study their chosen discipline without coming to lectures.

International activities and cooperation of the Financial University

An integral part of the activities of the Financial University is its international activity, which allows for close cooperation with various universities, research centers, business schools, enterprises, banks, insurance companies and scientific foundations of various foreign countries.

The university cooperates most closely with institutions in the USA, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Bulgaria, Austria, France, China and the Netherlands. Over the past 5 years, the university has been visited by about 300 foreign delegations, who highly appreciated the principles of the Financial University and shared their knowledge with students. During the same time, 700 university staff and teachers were sent abroad, who tried to adopt the principles of the educational process there and implement it at the university.

Thanks to the university’s cooperation with universities in the UK and the USA, students can receive a double diploma upon graduation. Such a diploma will become their undeniable advantage over other job applicants.

Employment of Financial University students

In 2000, the Center for Employment and Career Development was founded on the basis of the Financial University. The employees of this Center understand that it is important not only to teach the student well, but also to do everything so that after training he can get a good job, and in the future he can make a brilliant career for himself. Therefore, their main goal is to do everything possible for the interaction of students, university graduates and employers.

The main activities of the Center are:

  • cooperation with various companies that will provide jobs for university graduates;
  • organizing internships for students during their studies, during which they begin to put the acquired knowledge into practice;
  • labor market research, which allows students to have a realistic idea of what they can expect;
  • legal support for students during their employment at a university, so that the employer cannot deceive an inexperienced job seeker;
  • consultations for students that will help them clearly understand their capabilities and correctly plan their future career;
  • holding various events on the territory of the Financial University, where students can talk with their potential employers.
Graduate of this university: The reason that prompted me to write a review about my university was pure coincidence - by the will of fate, I ended up at an open day and decided to look at my university from the outside, through the eyes of an applicant. I would like to write a real review, focused more on parents and thoughtful, adult applicants who want to make the right choice.

About Open Doors Day (ODD)
To say that I was surprised would not be true, because I was SHOCKED by the lies that poured out from all the cracks and microphones of Leningradka that day. They advertised a completely different university, where I studied for 6 years.
The reason for such lies (okay, deceit) is the lack of money on the one hand (as a consequence of the need to attract paying customers by hook or by crook), and on the other hand, these are student volunteers who are selected for such events from the student council (hard-hearted activists ready to do anything the administration wants, for the sake of various bonuses or a place in the hostel). In fact, these “activists” are far from the general mass of students and from the study as a whole, since adequate people do not perceive such characters at all. Students do not have their own opinions at these events; all words are dictated by the administration in advance.

About the FU brand, and even under the Government...
As for the “Financial University” brand, and even more so “under the Government of the Russian Federation,” today we can say with great regret that it has seriously devalued itself. There was a time when people could not enter the Finance Academy and in shame went to the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University. Today the situation has changed dramatically. Its real level is Sharazhka's offices, of which there are thousands today. Next I will tell you in detail why. The reason for this was the merger of several universities at a lower level, as a result of the mixing of teaching staff, territories, loss of identity and reputation of the once powerful and prestigious Financial Academy.
Regarding “under the Government of the Russian Federation”. This university has nothing to do with the government, just as RANEPA has nothing to do with the President of the Russian Federation. These are just advertising slogans, which are used with great success by the golden youth and their parents; for the most part, Caucasians appreciate this console.

About studying and its quality...
Everything is sad here... There are several reasons for this:
1) Transition to the Bologna system of bachelor's and master's degrees (4+2 years) instead of a specialist's degree (5 years). As a result, everything that was in the 5-year specialty was shoved into the 4-year bachelor’s degree, while throwing out the block of professional disciplines in the specialty, replacing them with general ones (the bachelor’s degree is now the first so-called “initial” stage of higher education). You probably think, ok, but there is a master's degree - this is a highly specialized add-on to a bachelor's degree! No, nothing like that. A master's degree is the same as a bachelor's degree, only for 2 years. The reason for all this, of course, is a general misunderstanding of the Bologna system, primarily by our Ministry of Education. The programs are crude, not adapted - everything is top-notch, but there is no sense.
2) The accession of several universities at a lower level, as a result of mixing of teaching staff, changes in curricula and programs.
3) Teaching staff. He is good, but there are fewer quality teachers every year. There remain enthusiasts, of whom there are very few today. The main reason is low salary. A candidate, associate professor, and even more so a doctor of science, professor simply should not receive 60-80 thousand for the hellish workload that the university gives. I agree, the labor market is not fair, especially in Russia, but the salary of a university teacher should not be at the level of a cleaner’s salary in a large company like Gazprom.
4) Point-rating system. She kills everything. Instead of knowledge and its quality, you are constantly chasing points - that’s how the system works.
5) Lack of dropouts, as a result of which many students have an indifferent attitude to learning. It is not profitable for the university to deduct, because it is a loss of money (either budgetary or private).
6) Exams are all in writing. This was done in order to remove subjectivity in grading. Unfortunately, it remained when the certification was issued (you can get 40 points during the semester - this is the certification, and 60 in the exam itself. Then these points are added together and transferred to the usual 5 point scale. 50-69 points is “3 ", 70-85 is "4", 86-100 is "5"). So, what is written with a pen cannot be cut out with an axe, as they say. It would seem, what a blessing! In fact, such rigor is compensated by widespread cheating - all exams are passed either with the help of cheat sheets (paper or telephone) or through a micro earphone. 95% of students pass this way. The reason is the pursuit of points, as I wrote above.
7) Presentations. This word can describe the entire FU. You will do them all the time. What does constantly mean? Personally, I gave 152 presentations during my 4 years of undergraduate study. This is the level of a honors diploma, let's say. The minimum, in my opinion, is 100. On average, 1-2 per week, not counting the rather voluminous work. You have to come to terms with this if you want points.
8) Foreign languages? Let's mi speak from may hart. If during your studies at FU you do not forget what you knew at school, this will already be considered a great success.
9) Faculty rating (my subjective):
1. IEO, FEF, KEF, UIA - approximately one level. Previously, KEF was the leader in all indicators, since it has the most interesting graduate departments (banking management, monetary regulation, financial markets). The FEF, which has recently gained popularity, is a purely marketing move (the face of which is Siluanov), before no one went there at all because of dry and unpromising graduate departments (insurance, state and municipal finance, corporate finance). Now the nominal dean of FEF is Siluanov, but don’t delude yourself. He doesn’t teach classes, he comes to the university 1-2 times a year with public lectures - that’s all. IEO is a hodgepodge of everything and a little bit + languages. Accounting and accounting accountants are needed always and everywhere.
2. MFF, NiN, GUiFK, Law Faculty - regular specialized faculties. MFF-zakos under MGIMO for the rich - in fact, there are only majors from English special schools.
3. Management, MTSG, ARIEB, FSP-gutter FU. Just to have somewhere to hang out for 4 years for those who need a crust (it’s not clear why they need it?)

About the infrastructure, atmosphere, contingent...
Infrastructure, material and technical base - everything is perfect here. There is plenty of everything everywhere - renovated buildings, bright and large auditoriums, computer classes, projectors, media libraries - everything is at the highest level, you can’t complain.
The relationships between students in the group are very tense and contradictory. The reason for this is fierce competition for points. During my entire training, I never met a friendly group. Everyone stays in small groups of 3-4 people, doing homework together and preparing for exams.
The atmosphere in the university itself is quite pleasant. Of course there is pathos, but everything here is determined by the student population itself. MEO and MFF are a parade of majors. KEF and FEF are mostly normal guys, middle class. Taxes - in short, they are 90% Caucasian (this happened historically, since the NIN faculty arose on the basis of the former VGNA, which was considered a hangout for Caucasians. I won’t risk talking about the rest, as there was little overlap.
Many are concerned about the Caucasian issue - they are everywhere, there are quite a lot of them. In taxes they are the majority, in other faculties there are fewer of them (20-30% of the group). Expensive cars, Unified State Exam score 120 points out of 100, pistols and knives are their mandatory attributes. And yes, they are practically not expelled. What is the reason, you ask? Read the rector's biography. We don’t abandon our own, as they say.
Canteens are expensive and not tasty. This is a problem in all buildings, since they are all outsourced. Poisoning occurs.
The dorms are great, if you're lucky enough to get one, of course. There are catastrophically few places, because the university is huge. It's mostly the Olympiads who get it; others don't always get their turn, so for the 1st or 2nd year, get ready to rent an apartment.

About employment and prospects...
Rector of the Department of Education: “The employment rate of our graduates is almost 100%, because these are top-level specialists. Plus we host a lot of career events, and the placement department is always there to help.”
These words touched many graduates. I graduated from my bachelor's degree in 2014 and still can't find a job in my field. All this time I worked part-time outside my specialty and studied for a master’s degree. Experience, specialists with at least 3 years of experience and incredible skills for this age are needed everywhere. Neither a bachelor's degree from a financial university nor a master's degree give me absolutely any advantages today over vocational school graduates (oh yes, now they have the fashionable name college) with 3 years of work experience. I thought that knowledge was power, but it turned out differently. Employment statistics in my group are approximately 30 to 70. More than half of the group is unemployed and does not understand what they did wrong. How did the others get along? Under the protection of parents or relatives. They, in fact, needed education for show.
Well, if you are lucky and you find a job somewhere, then know that your whole future life is a computer with Excel in an 8-hour schedule for 30 thousand, if it is a small office or a government agency, or if you catch luck by the tail and it will be you have 50-60 thousand in a big company.
Employment department. It exists and, in theory, should help in finding an internship and subsequent employment. In all 4 years of my contacts with this department, they have not offered me anything worthwhile. I had to look for internships in the bachelor’s program, as well as part-time work in the master’s program myself.

And what to do now, where to go?...
What should a 2016 applicant do and where should he apply?
If you have successfully passed the Unified State Exam and you have enough points for the Moscow State University budget, go there to the Higher School of Economics. There is simply nothing better in the Russian Federation today.
If you are going to the budget of FU, Pleshka, Ranhigs, etc., choose FU.
What to do if you don’t qualify for the budget - is it worth paying, and if so, for what?
Dear Parents! I want to convey to you the main idea that most paid graduates come to. Education in the Russian Federation is not worth the money. Let your child go to work (try to find a place where you can, it will be more useful), and use the saved 1-1.5 million rubles to create a business, albeit a primitive one. Personal business is the best entrepreneurial school for your child.
If you are living in the past and believe that education is compulsory, even if it costs ridiculous amounts of money (1-1.5 million), pay for Moscow State University or Higher School of Economics. FU costs +- the same, but is far behind.
If you still choose paid education at FU-100, think twice. It's not worth it. With the same success, go to all sorts of MFYuA, etc. desks - there will be the same quality, but for a relatively reasonable price.
If you have a choice between a budget “somewhere” and paid education at a FU, then it’s better to go on a budget “somewhere”.
Don't neglect distance learning. The correspondence + work formula is more advantageous today than ever, since experience comes first, not a diploma. Absorbing at FU is an interesting option in terms of price-quality-prestige ratio.

For myself personally, over 6 years of undergraduate and graduate studies, I have identified three types of pastime for modern students:
1) Study because I want to, because it’s interesting
2) Party - because I’m young and don’t want to study, but this will make my parents calmer
3) Just spill the beans somewhere and somehow, because that’s the custom
Take a careful look at your child, think about what type he is, talk to him about what he wants, what goals he pursues and, based on this, help him make a decision.

I hope my review will help you. Good luck and success in your studies!

Financial University is one of the oldest Russian universities, training economists, financiers, financial lawyers, mathematicians, IT specialists, sociologists and political scientists.

The history of the university began in 1919. Then the Moscow Financial and Economic Institute appeared. Over its long history, it has changed its name and structure more than once, but has left unchanged the high quality of training of specialists.

The Financial University has evolved from an institute and academy specializing in training specialists in the financial and banking sector to a large scientific and educational complex. University graduates occupy high positions in the Government, State Duma, ministries, banks, commercial and non-profit structures.

The quality of the university’s education is known outside of Russia: the university annually occupies prestigious positions in world rankings.
The university implements double degree programs (20 programs in 4 countries), included learning (46 partner universities) and international exchange. Students can enjoy all the benefits of academic mobility. There are summer schools and language internships.

Do you want to achieve something in life and get a normal education? Then throw thoughts about this “university under the “GOVERNMENT OF THE RF”” out of your head and just forget about its existence :) This university has nothing in common with the Government, except for some deans, for example, Siluanov or Golikova, who will never be at work place and see them only a couple of times a year at some lectures in the assembly hall, where they won’t tell anything special (and you won’t see anyone at all). In your first year they will tell you straight out that the prefix “under the government of the Russian Federation” is just a marketing ploy to attract students. With this clear, let's move on.

Education: the university is technically well equipped, there is a media library with good computers, all kinds of equipment in the classrooms, and so on. If you want to gain knowledge, then they will give it to you, but for this you will have to sacrifice all your time for the sake of studying, do not miss lectures or seminars under any circumstances, and you will not receive any practical experience.

You should also take into account that at this university there are very nasty people in the leadership. Before you have time to say hello to them, you will hear in response: “WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU ASKING US?”, or “THIS IS NOT FOR US”, or “WE DON’T KNOW ANYTHING” :) And if you point out that this is their direct responsibility, then they will be even more rude and still you will not achieve anything. And don’t try to complain to the deputy dean (in fact, to the dean, since the dean is not there), since there will be a worse person there.

It is worth mentioning corruption in this type of institution:) In some faculties (already during training) in order to get into the desired direction, even with good results and grades, you need to pay:) 90% of the entire university takes money. And from the principle ones - 100% :)

Of course, not directly, but through a large number of intermediaries, but they take it.

In general, the impression of this university leaves much to be desired. Try to make the right choice.

I don't know who is to blame. The education system in Russia or FU, but the picture emerges like this: About the sore point. The dean's office (Gfk, faf..) are absolutely incompetent people. To any of your questions regarding the educational process, there is only one answer - “we don’t know.” Moreover, as a bonus, you will receive a portion of arrogance, rudeness, definitely “we don’t have time”, once, the woman simply hung up, citing the fact that she did not want to inform on the issue regarding the retake, saying that we ourselves should know the requirements and adding the phrase: “these are your problems.” One negative, in general.

Bribes are a separate issue. If you don't offer it, they won't ask. But I don't mind taking it. Prices are high. They are expelled selectively. You may be lucky with 10 reprimands, but you may be expelled for 3. (You can get a reprimand for outerwear, skipping classes, not having enough points for certification in more than 2 subjects, and even if you leave during class to drink water and meet with the administration). Teachers - depending on your luck. The general impression is that learning is not that difficult if you really study. The quality of education is average, possibly lower. If problems arise that can overtake you regardless of your academic performance, no one will help (free of charge for sure)

I study at a financial university. I think that you need to choose a university adequately! Do not accept such negative reviews about the canteen, library, and the like... At work, the canteen, as they say, will not help you. I went to the open day and everything was explained to me, clarified. I realized that I wanted to study at this university. Good teachers who know their subjects well and present things in a non-boring way, the opportunity for self-realization - many conferences, forums, and so on... In general, if you want to gain knowledge and not hang out, then I think you need to go to this university. He will give you knowledge that will be useful in the near future at work... If you want not to go to university, appear only for tests and exams - this will not work... Still, teachers give grades for knowledge, and not just So...

Anastasia Savelyeva 11/18/2018 16:38

I’m a 4th year student, I want to say thank you to the university in advance!

Good practice, great teachers! The subjects at the institute are interesting, especially in the 3rd-4th year, you fall in love with your specialty even more) I was very lucky with my supervisor. I already understand that this is the only place for a master’s degree! They really give you knowledge here; after graduating from this university, there will be no problems with work, the institute is trying to get settled, as I know from the words of my friends who graduated and are already working!

Yulia Savelyeva 09.11.2018 10:53

I am happy that I completed my education at this institute! There were very good teachers here, they provide unique knowledge. One of a kind. knowledge that can be applied in ten to fifteen years... I would love to come back here again to get another education! It was a wonderful time!! I recommend it to everyone!!!

Amir Abdukhafizov 07/09/2018 01:50

Just a week ago I graduated from the Financial University, or rather the Faculty of Finance and Economics, and I want to thank all the teachers, they are the best (not all of them), the education is certainly not very good, but the problem is in the Russian education system itself. I myself am an international student, and I want to say that Finashka is one of the best universities among other universities in Moscow, this is purely objective

FU is a bureaucratic, faceless machine that will grind your student offspring and spit them out if, God forbid, he does not fulfill some formal requirements. For example, attendance. For 10 pairs of passes, they are reprimanded. The third reprimand is expulsion. We got into this situation last year. Our student studied for three years on a commercial basis, had no debts, passed the sessions, moved from course to course, and at the end of the 3rd year during the session - the dean announced to him - we are expelling you right in the middle of the session - you have a 3rd reprimand for year. In fact, he received his first reprimand in the 1st semester for 10 pairs of absences, the second - for not passing the intermediate assessment in the first semester (rating in the middle of the semester - he did not get points), and by the end of the second semester he had accumulated another 10 pairs of absences. But what are 10 pairs of passes? This is 3 working days. What is a failed mid-semester assessment? These are uncollected rating points that have already been collected a long time ago, because The 1st semester is closed, all tests and exams have been passed. Thus, it turns out that in 3 years we gave almost a million rubles to the financial institution. for training on a commercial basis. And we are not oligarchs, we are all in loans and debts to pay for this education. And our student, who had no debts, consistently moved from course to course, did not drink, did not smoke, did not fight, was expelled for missing 6 days in a YEAR??? Moreover, they did this in the middle of the session; they did not allow him to complete some of the exams purely mechanically, so he did not complete the 3rd year. Well, what is this called??? How can one justify such a disregard for the fate of a person??? And I don’t need to talk about internal rules, absenteeism and responsibility here. I myself am an employee of a higher school, an associate professor at a university, and, frankly, I couldn’t find anything to “unscrew the head” of this unfortunate expulsion for, because I can’t blame him for 6 days of absenteeism in a year. Well, I overslept a couple of times, well, I was sick a couple of times, in Moscow you don’t rush to the clinic, sit in lines there if you feel bad. And, most importantly, to help, to at least think about helping - none of the management even bothered. Dean: “It doesn’t depend on me. Yes, yes, it’s a pity, but I can’t do anything, I’m sending a draft order to the rector, now the rector will decide everything.” Deputy dean: “Of course, expelling, there’s nothing to even talk about this truant.” Rector: “I won’t meet with him. He skipped classes - and so everything is clear with him.” Some supposed Student Council considered this issue in absentia and approved the decision to expel. And now I think - my God, if we knew in advance that this is not a university with a normal human approach, where every student is taken care of, where both the student and his parents are respected, would we have gone to enroll there? For what? We could enroll in absolutely any university, from Moscow State University to Synergy. What kind of rector is this who doesn’t consider it necessary to meet with students when problems arise? What more important things does he have there than to listen and help solve his student’s problems? This means that there was time to take our million from the university, but the rector does not have time to listen and objectively assess the situation and help the student. What kind of Student Council is this that condemns its brothers to expulsion in absentia? And what kind of dean is this who “can’t do anything” except expel a student who has no debt for 6 missed days in a year? Those. There is zero logic in what is happening. And the worst thing is that the only thing that can be done after expulsion is to be reinstated at the same university with a rollback by semester, because no other university in the country can reinstate an expelled student. You can only start studying again from the 1st year. Thus, we were forced to pay them double money again and lose a year of training in order to somehow get this higher education. Think for yourself whether your child should enroll in a university, which, having taken the maximum amount of money from you, will spit you out for nothing and will not choke, and will not torture anyone’s conscience, and will not remember you. They will live on your money and be happy, receive salaries and bonuses, be proud that they are so principled, and the fate of your student will actually be broken.

What happens during study is basically described here. I will then focus on the state exams. Let's start with questions. They gave some questions for preparation, but in reality they put others) The most interesting thing: there were questions about what was not considered and should not be considered in our course: they are not in our profile! During the state final exam, the commission talked to each other, absolutely not listening to the students, used phones and almost completely left the audience while the students were answering. The commission members interrupted the students, laughed at the answers, and refused to clarify the question in case of misunderstanding. The same thing happened during the defense of diplomas! They complained several times to the dean and the department about this commission, but it was not replaced, and no one came to monitor their behavior! In general, I do not recommend it to applicants!

The university completely met all my expectations. An acquaintance studied here and was also pleased. The teachers are responsible and friendly. I received a huge and relevant knowledge base. I am sure that with a diploma from our university I will have the green light in other areas. Studying here involves not only lectures, seminars and sessions, but also many additional hours with guest speakers, foreign internships, and other ways to improve skills.

It is no longer possible to listen to lectures on so-called theoretical disciplines, not only in one particular faculty, but in the 1st and 2nd years of almost all faculties. Teachers give lectures based on their textbooks, and the reading is boring. They ask about textbooks, and according to another textbook, he immediately said, “Wrong! Sit down! Zero!"

All the kids at the university are already tired of this system.

We will read the textbook at home, you yourself know that today ALL information is on the Internet, and everything that they tell us is, at best, downloaded from the Internet, or they read it from their textbooks, making slides out of them. Passive listening does not lead to learning the material.

We would like you to make changes towards more practical classes, individual consultations, receiving creative analytical tasks at home, and so that you can work with the teacher individually and in creative groups, and in consultations, of which there should be much more instead of boring theoretical ones lectures that no one writes, everything is in textbooks, and seminars with presentations based on the same textbook.

The teacher came, read, and left for a week, and he can’t be found, consultations are held when we are already tired, either in the evening or early in the morning, and we don’t go. It would be better if the teacher was with us more often, and together we could study and solve new relevant topics. Teachers work, as they say, in two or three universities (to earn at least 60 million like you)) and, unfortunately, they have no time for us. We believe that today a teacher should tell how to study, look for something new, he should tell not “what is what” - we will read that ourselves, but “how” and “why”, but this is not in lectures.

We are finishing our first year and we want education at our university to be dynamic and modern in the future.

Kira Trofimova 05.24.2017 18:06

Not long ago I felt an acute lack of knowledge and began to look for options for distance learning. By the way, the boss was all for it and helped a little. I chose the university carefully, for a long time, because I do not need certificates, but high-quality, up-to-date knowledge from professionals. Fortunately, an acquaintance recently graduated from a correspondence course here, so I followed his recommendation.

I am very pleased with the financial university. I see that even correspondence students are taught here not just any way, but to the fullest extent. If you don't study, you're unlikely to pass the exam. I personally have to study on weekends and in the evenings, because the volume is large. But I was ready for this, because such an education would allow me to grow up the career ladder in the future. Therefore, I recommend it to those who decide to get a second higher education or simply combine study with work. It’s not easy, but it’s interesting and, importantly, it’s an investment in your future.

Vladimir Perov 05/16/2017 14:54

I'm incredibly glad that I graduated from Finish. From the experience of myself and my friends, I can say that it is one of the best and strongest universities. The educational process is well organized. There is even a separate building for correspondence students, and they offer a dormitory for the duration of the session. Not cheap, but still convenient (near the Leningrad highway). I studied business informatics, the group is very friendly. Classes were on Saturdays, since all of us were from the Moscow region and Moscow itself. Thank God the whole group knew that they had come for knowledge. There were no complaints out of the blue. It was difficult at times, but everyone learned. So, this is a great option as a second education or for those who cannot afford full-time education for some reason - just welcome!

Ksenia Purpur 05/12/2017 17:47

Guys, I would like to add that there is clear attendance control and a rating system for assessing knowledge. This works for those who regularly attend classes and study, and is absolutely not beneficial for those who slack and play truant.

There are many professors among the teaching staff, but they also demand a lot.

The trouble is the queues at clinics - you can’t get in if you don’t have time! And the organization of events is lame - I wish they would give us more tickets to concerts, clubs, etc.

Anya Tugarina 05/02/2017 11:07

I'm a sophomore. I can say about studying that in general it is interesting and sometimes difficult. The teachers are professionals, unique people. Many professional events are held for us, which help us orient ourselves towards the future (where to go to work) and generally improve our level. Of course, there is “ballast” among students who don’t care about anything and don’t want to study - this is frustrating. The university provides the opportunity to choose sports activities to your liking - a swimming pool, a gym, and others. I enjoy using it, I love sports.

If we talk about extracurricular activities, not enough events are organized - concerts, going to the cinema.

I can’t say about the relevance of knowledge, because I’m not working yet. But they say that a university diploma is valued even in other countries, and our graduates are given preference when applying for jobs.

Maxim Konovalov 04/19/2017 14:27

Hi all. I am a second year student, Faculty of International Economic Relations. It was not easy to enroll, but it was interesting to study. There are many specialized subjects and teachers with practical experience in their field. Not everyone passed the first session. I personally hand over everything myself, so I can’t say anything about bribes. If we move away from studies, I can say the following: a good hostel; for the male half, the military department is especially valuable (which will completely replace military service). But there are also disadvantages, of course. This includes a small number of recreational activities organized by the university and high prices in the cafeteria. After all, students are not a rich people, I would like this to be taken into account. And there are more good events - after all, you want not only to study well, but also to have a good rest!

Egor Trofimov 04/13/2017 17:52

After studying at the Faculty of Law, I can say that a Financial University diploma is very helpful when getting a job. And even in large companies. All other things being equal, HR gives preference to a Finunivers graduate. Therefore, I do not regret that I came here. It was sometimes difficult to study, but as it turned out, it was worth it. And the teachers did not fail, on the contrary, they always met halfway, instilled self-confidence and interest in learning.

Anonymous review 02/12/2017 03:20

Very convenient location of the university. The hostel is cool. The teachers are adequate people, pleasant, and there are many interesting personalities among them. I'm glad that I'm studying here. My group is wonderful, there are career prospects. Already now, in my 3rd year, I feel that I have been given a lot of knowledge and experience. In short, I love my university! I'm even thinking about teaching here.

Anonymous review 02/12/2017 03:13

I had good classmates, because the competition is big - that’s why only worthy guys get through. All topics are covered in sufficient depth. Each teacher has his own approach, his own practical experience - everything is carefully and competently conveyed, laid out on the shelves. There were quite a lot of interesting subjects, I would like to learn more)

I studied at the Faculty of Credit and Economics - I can proudly boast that it is considered one of the best, if not elite! And the university itself is one of the oldest, with its own history.

Anonymous review 02/12/2017 03:04

The level of teaching is good, the groups are fully staffed. The hostel is good and modern. Those who studied well all found jobs. The teachers are understanding and smart.

It was difficult to get in, I tried several specialties at once. At some point I thought about transferring to correspondence courses, but I ended up graduating and I don’t regret it.

I decided to write a review because I see that they write bad things. I think these are either evil or lazy people who accidentally ended up at the university.

Misha Evgadze 02/11/2017 14:58

My daughter is studying in the specialty "taxes and taxation" at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. I’m very pleased that I managed to get in; the competition was, of course, wild. But in light of the level of unemployment in the country and how difficult it is for a young specialist to find a job, you shouldn’t “point your finger at the sky” and choose the first university you come across. Alas, from many you can get not a diploma, but a fake diploma, which is not suitable for any normal HR person. I am calm for my daughter: if she finishes her studies, she will be accepted anywhere; a diploma from this university is highly rated.

Ivan Frank 02/10/2017 21:11

It’s been seven years since I graduated from the Financial University, Faculty of International Economics. I studied like everyone else, mediocrely, although I pushed myself hard in the last few courses and earned myself a good diploma. Later I thanked my fate so many times that I did not foolishly quit my studies, like some of my fellow students who were captured by the temptations of the big city!.. Why? Because with a financial university diploma, I didn’t have to start from the very bottom. Already in my last year, I was invited to a good company for an internship, where they later left me as a full-time employee. Both of my subsequent jobs came like clockwork - and all thanks to a good diploma from a well-known university. I look at many of my peers who are just starting to make their way into the world, and I think: what if I had chosen another university, one that was local and unpopular? I too would now be beating my paws with all my might, like that frog in the jar. It's good that I made the right choice at the time. I wish the same for you.

He studied at the Faculty of Finance and Economics at the Financial University under the President of the Russian Federation. From myself I can say that the university is corrupt, the education is very poorly given, half of the students do not know Russian, and the teachers themselves cannot speak a few words! Almost everyone cheats on exams. And at the open day, 80 percent of the information is complete nonsense! In short, dear friend, if you are thinking about enrolling here or not, then better not do it! By the way, if you think that you can get into the military department without connections or money, then you are mistaken, because the entire dean’s office is greedy for pennies!

Olga Prosvirina 07/13/2016 19:51

Thanks to Finashka, I received not only a diploma, but also friendship with amazing people, communication with cool professionals and teachers. I won’t go into too much detail, I’ll just say that immediately after graduation I found a job in my specialty and so far I’m not complaining. And for those who are thinking about whether to come here or not, I advise you to talk with the university students themselves, teachers

Attention! My point of view is subjective, since I saw the situation from my point of view. If everything turned out great for you, I am very happy for you and wish you success in your studies!

Higher powers took me to come here. It all started with the admissions committee on July 5, 2016. There are a lot of guys applying, the institute has become a star, and they don’t care about you from the very beginning. The official website says entrance exams are from the 12th to the 26th. I arrived at 8 a.m. to get in line (by the way, all balalaikas start working at 9:30 a.m.).

The first minus is that they told us to arrive at 8:30 last day, but the terminals for issuing coupons were open from 9:30. Those. it doesn't matter whether you arrived at 8 or 9:30. If you go to the toilet, your line is gone, since it’s live until 9:30. The regime of a Stalinist clinic. Considering that I am in a position, it was extremely difficult for me to stand and wait for an hour and a half.

2 minus - there were few operators working with guys who enter after college. We sat and waited like fools.

Further. A woman runs into the waiting room. He says, “Who’s from college?” That's it, damn it! He says - four behind me, without looking at the board and without saying who, supposedly, has the closest line (for example, I125, I126, I127 and I128) - let's go through. As a result, the four fastest ones with numbers I179, I190, etc. ran.

3 minus - does that mean the electronic queue is an empty word? I was saddened by this attitude. Even in vocational schools the attitude is more attentive and less agricultural than here. Made a mess.

K S T A T I. Those who skipped the queue were not removed from the numbering. Those. I, for example, skipped the line, did everything, and left the institute. And my number was displayed on the board, and they would sit and wait for me. Anyway.

It was my turn out of turn (I don’t know what else to call this disgrace). I come in and see a girl student (they were recording). The girl herself is smart. Zero complaints. Everything was processed efficiently and quickly. They asked if I had taken the course. I did it remotely. To which they told me that I must provide a certificate. This is understandable, but we were told that all certificates will be at the institute in the admissions office. I was asked to look for myself on the list to check in, but neither I nor my classmate were on the list, although we successfully completed the courses and passed the exam with dignity. The student called the head of their office, her name is Tatyana Vladimirovna (hereinafter referred to as T.V.). To which Mrs. T.V. bothered to answer - “We have 7 documents to sign!” There must be a certificate! What should we do now, rewrite all the documents later?!” This is despite the fact that before that I turned to Oksana Dmitrievna Vlasova, who noted me and my classmate in her lists and simply said that when they call me, say that Oksana Dmitrievna (hereinafter referred to as O.D.) noted you, and everything is fine . My classmate went to investigate with O.D. so that she would call T.V. and found out this issue or gave some advice on what to do.

Alexander Popov 07.07.2016 15:18

Dear Tatyana, we regret that your impressions, unlike thousands of others, are negative.

The financial university is very attentive and welcoming to applicants; for their convenience, an electronic queue is open, there is a canteen, 3 buffets, 4 waiting rooms, a media library where you can go through electronic registration, consultants meet applicants on each floor and answer any questions that arise. It is quite possible that the morning rush led to such an emotional perception of reality. Unfortunately, the maximum length of a comment is 1000 characters, which did not fit into our answer, so we took a snapshot of the entire answer and placed it here: https://yadi.sk/i/Wd_Sm13yt5ZKC Please read it! We hope that this case will not have an impact on your emotional and physical state and we wish you successful admission to any of the selected universities.

Zemel Karaketov 07/14/2015 14:51

The cult of personality of the rector has reached its highest point at the university. In the office of any department head you will see a portrait of the rector; there is not always a portrait of Putin. Open any issue of the magazine "Financier" (this is a publication of the Federal University), you will definitely find 2-3 photographs with the ubiquitous Mikhail Abdurakhmanovich. It is impossible to get an appointment with him; sometimes they hold “Rector’s Hour,” but any question is forwarded to the dean or vice-rector. The rector is like a wedding general, his post is for communication with the outside world, not for internal use. His subordinates should know what is going on on his farm. It turns out that it is impossible to complain to the rector about these subordinates, so they do what they want.

Alexander Popov 04/09/2015 17:39

Having visited the page of the Financial University portal for applicants, we were surprised to find that Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated 01/09/2014 N 3 “On approval of the Procedure for admission to study in educational programs of higher education - bachelor’s degree programs, specialty programs, master’s programs for the 2014/15 academic year” applicants interpret at their own discretion.

The competitive lists dated July 28 and the lists of persons recommended for enrollment dated July 31 are different lists. Completion of acceptance of original documents from applicants included in the lists of persons recommended for enrollment at the first stage - 04 08.;

In accordance with clause 112 of the document, applicants included in the list of persons recommended for enrollment at the first stage, who have not submitted (withdrawn) the original education document within the prescribed period, are eliminated from the competition and are considered as having refused enrollment. Please pay attention! This year the admission procedure has changed! No recommendation lists or invitations. The applicant votes with the original certificate. Only those who provide it will be enrolled. By August 3, 80% of budget places will be filled, and by August 6 – 20% of the remaining ones. And all this according to the complete list by name (published on July 27), ranked in descending order of points. You can assess your chances of admission online during June-July - follow the lists of applicants and marks of submitted originals on the admissions website priemka.fa.ru. Last year, the average budget score was no lower than 75 per subject, but different years are poorly comparable. The chances of making a budget are now higher for the most oriented and with originals, and not just for high-scorers, especially with copies! This year the following will also be awarded: for a certificate with honors 7 points, a GTO badge 3 points and an essay 1 point. The university is waiting for you!

Ekaterina Spivak 08/06/2014 12:05

This year I applied to 3 universities, including the Financial University. Government of the Russian Federation. I had 261 points in three subjects (social studies, Russian and mathematics), and I was fully confident that I would get into the financial university without any problems on a budget. Starting from July 28, universities were supposed to post new lists, to begin with, the lists were posted at the wrong time, the next thing that struck me was that no one from the university called, although there were calls from other universities. Yesterday we posted orders for enrollment after the first wave and post new lists for wave 2. Imagine my surprise when I went to the Financial University website today and did not see myself on the list for wave 2. They started calling, it turned out that calling applicants was not their responsibility, citing the fact that there were too many applicants. It’s an empty excuse; you only had to call those who were in the first wave of the budget. They have a large flow, they should see the flow at Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University and other prestigious universities in our country, where they call applicants who have passed the competition. The next thing was amazing. It turns out that those who were recommended for enrollment in the first wave and did not bring the originals before August 4 are automatically eliminated from the competition. After looking at the lists of applicants and those recommended, I became even more sad about the injustice; I was told that those with more than 250 points are automatically enrolled in the first wave, and if they do not bring the original, they do not participate in the second. But I was on the list in the second wave, I saw guys who had 254 points and they were on the list in the 2nd wave. It feels like everything was bought there or other currencies of their own. Here the question arises.... What is the point of the competition then? Many applicants will understand me now. For example, the first wave began, I went to a financial university on a budget, but I want to go to Moscow State University and therefore decided to wait for the second wave. It turns out, according to the logic of the financial university, then I do not participate in the second wave of their university, and if I don’t get into Moscow State University in the second wave, then I’ll miss out on admission.... It follows from this that the Financial University under the government of the Russian Federation has its own system of two waves, and guys with high scores, in principle, do not have the right to participate in the second wave. The feeling from all this is not the best, especially after talking on the phone with a representative of the admissions committee of a financial university. So guys, my advice to you is to check those lists every day, if something is wrong, it’s better to call immediately before it’s too late. Otherwise they will scam you and get lost with the admission process.

Yulia Nelidova 04/02/2014 18:47

My son is studying at the University (he entered VGNA and ended up here as a result of the merger of universities). I listen to him sometimes and am glad that he has nothing to compare the level of education with... Unfortunately, I have something to compare with... (Leningrad State University 30 years ago...) What is now called “obtaining higher education” - alas, complete profanation... Teachers are divided into two categories - one ABSOLUTELY doesn’t care whether the students understood anything from their lectures or not, the second tirelessly utter phrases like “You MUST (!!! where???) know this.” , and in general, there is the Internet - figure it out for yourself!" And this is one of the top-rated universities in the capital! In two months you have to defend your thesis - no one except the poor student cares about this - the educational process is organized in such a way that there is literally NO time for the diploma, endless voluminous homework, scientific supervisors do not seem to be particularly worried (why is it interesting?! my supervisor, I remember , never missed a day to advise, guide, check). The same picture, for example, at Moscow Power Engineering Institute (my second son studies there) ... alas.... From conversations with my children’s peers I draw a very sad conclusion - student years have ceased to be the brightest and most interesting precisely in the sense of gaining knowledge... Everything is VERY weak and gray...

Anonymous review 06/03/2013 19:46

I entered the VGNA, now I study at the FU. I was very pleased with my training at VGNA. Victoria Shadrina writes that it was only possible to pass the exams for a fee... I’m not an excellent student, I passed all the exams myself, never paid and never heard teachers mention the prices for the exams. After the reorganization, there is chaos in the academy, all the documents are lost, they don’t know anything about the students of the former VGNA, they say the contracts are lost, how is this possible? I’m more than sure that the FU threw them out so as not to bother, they will raise tuition fees... Campus cards have been introduced, which have been in production for more than half a year... On the Airport metro, the permit department always shouts why there are no cards, as if we are to blame, This is unprecedented rudeness! The teachers allow themselves to speak obscenely, they say directly that we don’t have to come to the exams, like we won’t pass anyway, neither on the first nor on the second try, they also say that the VGNA has an insignificant education and all these years that we studied there were wasted and we don't know anything. It's a shame that the reorganization took place. VGNA love you

Elena Komarova 05/22/2013 10:51

In September 2012, my daughter became a student at one of the leading economic universities in Moscow, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. She entered as a 2nd and 3rd degree winner of the International Olympiad in mathematics. In this regard, there were no problems with admission .All Olympians were enrolled without competition before the first wave and took almost all the budget places. The competition at International faculties reached 25 people per place, at other faculties it was slightly less. The popularity of the University is enormous, because approximately 20,000 finance students study in Moscow alone. In the group daughters 31 people. The organization of the educational process was at a good level, but with the addition of three more universities (VGNA, GUMF, VZFEI) to the Financial University, some disadvantages appeared. Now, little by little, everyone is getting used to each other, to the new buildings, there are seven buildings at the university .The teachers are different, there are very strong ones who give real knowledge, there are average ones, in the subjects of which you have to strain yourself. Student life is very busy, all events are in the hands of the student council, the guys themselves organized a winter ball, a meeting with V.V. Pozner, a festival fashion "FA-Fashion", spring and autumn KMK-quests, night of arts within the walls of the university. A volunteer movement and much more have been organized. They never get bored. Tests and exams are quite strict. I have never heard of anyone being able to buy a test or exam. I really like the university, there are a huge number of opportunities. You just need a desire to learn, be active and that’s it It will be great. Good luck to current applicants!!! And remember, nothing is impossible!!!

Oksana Kobzar 05/20/2013 18:53

Last year I graduated from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. I entered it in 2007, while not all universities in the country fully accepted the Unified State Exam, and I took some exams directly at the financial academy itself. I wasn’t able to enroll on a budget, so I had to go study on a paid basis. I studied at the Faculty of Finance and Credit, specializing in State Financial Control. I’ll say right away that the first two years are quite difficult, higher mathematics alone means a lot. Therefore, after the first session, many who did not pass this subject were expelled. The teaching staff is quite serious, there are a lot of theoretical scientists and no less practitioners. So they set very high requirements for knowledge of their subjects. In addition to the main staff of teachers, specialists from the banking and financial sectors of the economy are involved in the educational process. This makes learning even more interesting. I really enjoyed studying at this university; during the five years of study, I passed all the exams and tests on my own. Without bribes, in a word, whoever needs it will study.

Alisa Kurakina 05/06/2013 21:02

I'll tell you about the university where I studied. Then it was called the All-Russian Correspondence Financial Institute, but in 2012 it changed its name to the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. I initially wanted an economic education and my choice settled on this university. Before entering, I took courses from VZFEI, which then helped me easily pass all exams and enroll in the full-time department, majoring in finance and credit. Of course, it was possible not to spend money on courses, but I doubted my abilities and decided to play it safe. And she did the right thing. In our city, this university is highly valued for economic education and is considered the best; students also enroll there after studying at the Banking School. We recruited a large group of 60 people, of whom there were only 4 boys. A huge advantage of this university is that you can combine work and study. Classes were held in the evenings, every other day, and, having warned the dean and teachers that you were working and would not always be able to attend all classes, they always made concessions. The only thing was that during the session they asked that everything be turned in on time. There were no difficulties with the exams, I only had to pay once, the subject turned out to be very difficult, and the teacher was unapproachable. I defended my diploma easily, they were more intimidating, they didn’t ask me any questions.

Victoria Shadrina 05/06/2013 19:36

In fact, I entered the tax academy, whose abbreviation was VGNA. About a year ago we were reorganized, and now we are part of the Financial University. It is still difficult to understand how much has changed in the structure of the institute, but I can say for sure that due to the reorganization there is now chaos and commotion: some documents are lost, statements cannot always be found. It was easy to enter here, since I was going to a paid department. There were no entrance exams. If we talk about studying in general, it is very disappointing that for so many years of studying we have never had practice. Instead, we submit essays and reports, which is not at all equivalent. In addition, while we were VGNA, many teachers openly named their prices for tests and exams. It was almost impossible for them to pass for free, since the second retake was paid anyway - this is the policy of the academy. We don’t have student life, but we are very busy with studies. They ask a lot - constant tests, tasks, essays, coursework. True, the Financial Institute hosts the Miss Financial University competition, but I’m glad that they don’t force everyone to participate. We have a lot of people in the group, sometimes we have to sit at desks in groups of three. I can’t say anything about the diploma yet, since I haven’t tried to find a job in my specialty yet.

Anna Filatova 04/25/2013 00:19

I applied in the last year before the general introduction of the Unified State Exam, and it was difficult to apply. It was impossible to do without tutors in at least three out of four subjects (English, geography, mathematics). You could take Russian by yourself, but there were some tricky assignments there too. The competition was 7-8 people per place, I applied to two faculties, and on the day of the exam I wrote two papers in each subject. I went on a budget for one. The university is popular, now it has even become a university (our name was the Financial Academy). The number of students is standard, 25 people per group. The teaching is quite up to standard, there are many good teachers, a sufficient number of hours in specialized subjects. There is clearly student life, those who want to join it are actively and powerfully leaving, everything is fine with that. I can’t say anything about purchasing and paying for credits; I haven’t personally encountered it. But I consider the diploma, field and general direction of the education that I received to be absolutely irrelevant for myself. However, what can you do, at 17, in this rush and fever of finishing school, it is difficult to hear and understand yourself - what is yours and what is not, what you like and what you hate.

The guys especially appreciate that the FU has a military department. The hostel is modern, I didn’t live there myself, but I heard only positive reviews.

Federal State Educational Budgetary Institution of Higher Education "Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation" (hereinafter referred to as the Financial University) is one of the oldest Russian universities training economists, financiers, financial lawyers, mathematicians, IT specialists, sociologists and political scientists.
